I’ve had three batches spoil in 16 years of brewing. One was so bad I spit the sample back into the cup. It took hours to really get rid of the flavor. I blended 5 carboys of cider (five different varieties of apples) in to a mixing bucket then pumped it back into 5 carboys for final aging and clarification. One of the five went hideously bad. This is what happens when you get careless and blow sanitation. The other 4 carboys were just fine.
The other two failures were just mildly “no, that ain’t right”.
Otherwise, my success rate is above 98%.

The look she gave me when I discovered was exactly that of a defiant teenager – slightly concerned about my reaction but incredibly pleased with herself.

I’m not really that impressed with Metro Exodus. Despite the fact hat I have the graphics settings maxed out on my 34″ 3440×1440 gsync IPS display, I don’t think it looks that great. AC Odyssey is a lot prettier, although it doesn’t have all the advanced atmospheric effects. I could be wrong once I’ve explored the outdoors more, we’ll see. I can’t find a FOV setting, it seems a little narrow…

I finally watched “Infinity War”. I am officially an old man now, because my major takeaway is “why are they using Napoleonic tactics when Wakanda is being attacked?” I thought the American Civil War had put paid to that.

And the lines of solders slowly merging and hand to hand combat ensuing is the way you film that type of action. Hell, even in pieces that take place in the supposed real world, that’s still how most battles ensue. It’s a trope because it works.
It’s all so very dumb. Wakkanda has some-sort of anti-gravity tech, but no close air support? Worse, you see War Machine doing a bombing-run, but that’s it – no further air support.
Hell, they can control the “dome” to the point they can de-activate it in a small section – why not just open that little section, let a few enemy in, then turn it back on? Defeat in detail is a successful tactic.
Well, that is what they tried, but again, it goes to fantasy tropes. Don’t blame comic books, blame the DandD nerds that run the CGI factories.

There was a new waiter, and toward the end of the meal as I had a glass of wine and the coworker had an espresso, the new waiter brought us a big complimentary wedge of cheesecake beautifully decorated with fruit and chocolate drizzle.
Only problem was it was one plate, one slice, and two forks. A little awkward, but I gestured to the cake and invited coworker to be my guest. So there we were nomming a most delicious cheesecake.
Waiter was pretty stunned that we got separate checks.
Ah, the perils of being a lady boss in a man’s world.
It probably is not a thing I’d repeat, though it was yummy. But the fact is, I realized I wouldn’t do that with just any coworker, so clearly I do not view my people equally. I’ll have to work on that.

Back in the day I took a female Foreign Exchange student my sister was hosting to the Mall of America over in the Soda. We were booking a hotel room and the guy at the front desk was very confused we wanted 2 beds. She was about 17 and I was around 26. He was even more confused when I made her pay.
