Happy Sunday to my favorite group of reprobates. I will be spending today doing one useless thing after another. So can you, starting here.

Today’s birthdays include one of the greatest guitarists to ever play jazz, Freddie Green; a person who thought and is no longer, Rene Descartes; composer of some small note, Johann Sebastian Ahhhh Bach; the great and pungent economist and pundit Walter Williams; and everybody’s favorite fraud Al Gore.

So without further delay, some news stories that attracted my attention.

“I’m not gay, but $20 is $20.”

One less job for STEVE SMITH.

Chicago voters face a clear choice. Or maybe no choice. It’s all terribly confusing.

This is even more confusing.

Beto promises to set an example by giving away his wife’s fortune. HAHAHAHAHA no.

But there is something intriguing about the man.

After setting a record last year, Chris Davis may set some new records this season.

Always nice when authoritarians can find common ground. To be honest, I can’t even pronounce his name.

That “dual loyalty” thing cuts both ways.

Oops.

What kind of music does the Old Man love more than any other? Street music, that’s what. It’s different everywhere, and everywhere live and compelling. This is the shit.
