Here’s the link. Apparently Krugabe thinks Trump is trying to kill us all.
There’s a lot we don’t know about the legacy Donald Trump will leave behind. And it is, of course, hugely important what happens in the 2020 election. But one thing seems sure: Even if he’s a one-term president, Trump will have caused, directly or indirectly, the premature deaths of a large number of Americans.
C’mon now, that doesn’t sound the least bit hyperbolic. Its not like somebody is going to put a black bag over my head, and tie me up and beat me…..well at least not somebody from the Government.
Some of those deaths will come at the hands of right-wing, white nationalist extremists, who are a rapidly growing threat, partly because they feel empowered by a president who calls them “very fine people.”
I see you support your claim with a link to Vox. I’m going to escalate this by throwing Jihadwatch at you!
Some will come from failures of governance, like the inadequate response to Hurricane Maria, which surely contributed to the high death toll in Puerto Rico. (Reminder: Puerto Ricans are U.S. citizens.)
Reminder: Puerto Rico received $16 Billion last year to recover from Hurricane Maria. Assuming the population statistics from the Census Bureau are correct that is approximately $5007 per Puerto Rican in response to a single event…
Some will come from the administration’s continuing efforts to sabotage Obamacare, which have failed to kill health reform but have stalled the decline in the number of uninsured, meaning that many people still aren’t getting the health care they need. Of course, if Trump gets his way and eliminates Obamacare altogether, things on this front will get much, much worse.
But the biggest death toll is likely to come from Trump’s agenda of deregulation — or maybe we should call it “deregulation,” because his administration is curiously selective about which industries it wants to leave alone.
Krugman — or maybe we should call Krug”man”…
Consider two recent events that help capture the deadly strangeness of what’s going on.
One is the administration’s plan for hog plants to take over much of the federal responsibility for food safety inspections. And why not? It’s not as if we’ve seen safety problems arise from self-regulation in, say, the aircraft industry, have we? Or as if we ever experience major outbreaks of food-borne illness? Or as if there was a reason the U.S. government stepped in to regulate meatpacking in the first place?
Now, you could see the Trump administration’s willingness to trust the meat industry to keep our meat safe as part of an overall attack on government regulation, a willingness to trust profit-making businesses to do the right thing and let the market rule. And there’s something to that, but it’s not the whole story, as illustrated by another event: Trump’s declaration the other day that wind turbines cause cancer.
Yeah, because meat is the same thing as aircraft. Besides, organizations outside of government are more than capable of providing food safety standards. Not like there are any cultural or religious standards that have thousands of years of success that we can point to. In Krug”man’s” world, it was the great salmonella outbreak of the 1940s that nearly eradicated (((them))).
But when it comes to renewable energy, Trump and company are suddenly very worried about supposed negative side effects, which generally exist only in their imagination. Last year the administration floated a proposal that would have forced the operators of electricity grids to subsidize coal and nuclear energy. The supposed rationale was that new sources were threatening to destabilize those grids — but the grid operators themselves denied that this was the case.
So it’s deregulation for some, but dire warnings about imaginary threats for others. What’s going on?
Part of the answer is, follow the money. Political contributions from the meat-processing industry overwhelmingly favor Republicans. Coal mining supports the G.O.P. almost exclusively. Alternative energy, on the other hand, generally favors Democrats.
There are probably other things, too. If you’re a party that wishes we could go back to the 1950s (but without the 91 percent top tax rate), you’re going to have a hard time accepting the reality that hippie-dippy, unmanly things like wind and solar power are becoming ever more cost-competitive.
I see you linked to Forbes. Wanna see what else Forbes has to say about the market viability of hippie-dippie, unmanly things like wind and solar power?
A study by the University of Texas projected that U.S. energy subsidies per megawatt hour in 2019 would be $0.5 for coal, $1- $2 for oil and natural gas, $15- $57 for wind and $43- $320 for solar. Many of the renewable energy subsidies come in the form of a Production Tax Credit (PTC) of 2.3 cents per kilowatt hour. Wholesale prices for electricity in 2017 were between approximately 2.9 cents to 5.6 cents per kilowatt hour. Therefore the wind production tax credit covers 30% to 60% of wholesale electricity prices.
…that means it is only competitive because of the scale of subsidies. That means it is not competitive. So how does Krug”man”end it?
Whatever the drivers of Trump policy, the fact, as I said, is that it will kill people. Wind turbines don’t cause cancer, but coal-burning power plants do — along with many other ailments. The Trump administration’s own estimates indicate that its relaxation of coal pollution rules will kill more than 1,000 Americans every year. If the administration gets to implement its full agenda — not just deregulation of many industries, but discrimination against industries it doesn’t like, such as renewable energy — the toll will be much higher.
So if you eat meat — or, for that matter, drink water or breathe air — there’s a real sense in which Donald Trump is trying to kill you. And even if he’s turned out of office next year, for many Americans it will be too late.
WERE ALL GONNA DIE….putz.
Krugman is a “famous” economist, who has been on the national stage for many years, yet his net worth is only $1.6 million. He has nothing to say that I am willing to listen to.

Wrong! The correct answer is Twisted Sister!
Good choice, Spud. And I say that as someone who likes rock a lot.
If that is an accurate estimate of his net worth, nobody should ever listen to him on any topic ever again.
But I’m getting ahead of myself…. I just don’t believe that number. Not for a guy living in New York with his history. It would have to be more than triple that amount, even if he was terrible with money.
Whoops, it’s a bit more. $2.5m.
Even that would be truly pathetic. At his age it would be hard to have less than a million in your home in the New York area. And he should have a retirement account that is north of $2 million at his age with his history.
So I’ll reiterate…. if that number is true, he’s terrible with money and nobody should ever listen to him again. It isn’t millionaire athlete blows the whole wad and is bankrupt 10 years out of the league bad, but it is pretty bad.
How much is that in broken windows?
No offense, Unciv..
You should make a note that you are the first person in all of recorded history that was worried about offending UCS.
True, but I wanted my “broken windows” joke.

I still love how they all ignore the costs of going to “renewables”.
The EPA and EIA make a big deal about including all emissions from every part of the manufacturing process and fuel cycle for nuclear power. Wind and solar? Those panels and turbines must just spring fully formed from the ground cause all that’s included are emissions from power production only.
That one study that’s been going around which pretty clearly showed that Earth simply can’t support it also gets ignored by greens. Meeting a 100% “renewable” goal would require more rare earths annually than current global production can meet by 2030, and exhaust all proven reserves in the 2040s. There’s not enough mineable dysprosium on the planet to even build all that infrastructure, and mining out the planet’s supply certainly won’t be bad for the environment!
I agree with your point…
But if there is a demand, the market will solve the problem. Either by finding more reserves, finding other ways of accomplishing the same goal or other efficiencies.
It always does.
The “Known reserves” for these rare earth elements are very limited flukes of nature that were really easy to find and exploit. Once the price gets high enough, they’ll figure something else out…. even if it requires using Death Valley as a solar evaporation basin for the pacific ocean.
Agreed, but in this case its government and not market forces driving demand. Its like how they mandate fuel economies that require technologies yet to be invented and expect it to just happen.
I also wonder if those reports factored in replacement panels. They only have a 20 year lifespan, so every existing panel today would ned to be replaced by 2040. 2030s panels, already requiring more metals than we currently produce, would need replacing by 2050.
I’m sure suppliers could adapt to an extent. The Population Bomb was predicated on the assumption that food production couldn’t grow much faster than it had previously, but it exploded to meet the needs of new people. We can’t count on that to meet government mandated supplies of renewables though
…or it would require technology that would allow for recycling the old materials into something useable in new panels. Something else that does not exist.
We just need to mine harder. Mine, baby, mine!
“It was not so long ago that a young congresswoman proposed major climate legislation that would transform the national energy system and, with it, the economy.”
That is one way to put it. Another way would be “the dumbest fucking idiocy since the square wheel.”
Could someone explain to me why the NYT is still in business?
Are they just trolling with that stuff? Or are they actually buying in?
I mean, some of the main players are treestump dumb, so I can see them not knowing they are spewing stuff worthy of an Onion article. But these other guys should recognize stupid when they see it, shouldn’t they?
They are trolling in a way. they are trying to sell horseshit that in the end doesnt have anything to do with energy or the environment. It is about control. They want their boot on your neck and they dont want you to be able to do anything to stop them. Every single thing the left pushes is calculated to that end.
Yeah, it is interesting how no matter what the problem is, the answer is government control and socialism. Kinda makes you think they have some sort of agenda at work…
A boot stomping on a human face, forever.
If the only solution to climate change was worldwide expansion of capitalism, it would have the same level of international scientific concern as does varicose veins.
They imagine themselves at the top of the glorious revolution’s hierarchy. The fact that they’ll be useless at that point will come as a great surprise to them.
So you are saying they went to Harvard?
Also I’ll reiterate my desire to give this website magical internet money aka crypto that my browser keeps asking me to distribute. Please set up a Basic Attention Token wallet!
Nah, magical Internet money is better spent to fund the planet-saving Green New Deal.

You know what? Krugman got me, I have to admit after reading this if Obama were allowed to be God King no one would ever die again. I am renouncing my logic and embracing MA FEELZ!
Yeah… the Obama era was soooo much better for working folks! Remember when record numbers were not working? Yeah, that was awesome!
Obama saved millions of Americans from work-related injuries and deaths!

It was a nice day to shoot, err, shoot at sporting clays. The desert this time of year is a deep green. 62 degrees with a light breeze made it t-shirt weather.

Coming home, we saw some huge cells off in the distance. Intermittent thunder and rain is on tap for the evening. Mid afternoon heavy appetizers at a local spot and now there’s a Manhattan on my left. Nice weekend, so far.
Look at all those clingers.
Yeah…. .funny thing though. They don’t look particularly bitter.
It’s great fun to go shoot clays. Groups of complete strangers and everyone is greeted with a smile and welcoming words.
I am past due to show up at my brother’s house with 20 gauges, a few hundred rounds of 7.5 shot and a few hundred clays.
I called him this morning and he was boiling crawfish. Dammit.
Ewwww. Bugs.
Shoot clays, eat crawfish, drink beers. THAT is a good day.
That looks like great fun!
We used to shoot down here at Markham Park. That’s where I learned the difference between trap and skeet. I had never tried clays before, so I was pleasantly surprised at how well I did tracking them as they flew away from me. We shot 3 rounds and I was over 20 each time. Hey, this is fun!
Feeling my oats, we went to the other range….. OK….. that’s not the same thing at all! :’) I still did Ok, but it was a lot harder. Heck, just figuring out where the next one was coming from cost me a bunch of time, and those doubles flying across… wow, you have to track fast.
Then someone mentioned the sport range. It is over in the woods… you shoot at clays bouncing along the ground and through the trees, emulating small game in the woods. Now that was really challenging! (particularly if you didn’t know the course – crap was flying all over the place. If Dick Cheyney was there, I might have shot him in the face….)
That’s what today was like. We have a course close by to this one that we shoot on a regular basis. It’s like going from your home golf course to one that you only play occasionally. Humbling.
Three of us would shoot clays by the hour. In rotation, one guys would be Primary shooter. He got the first chance. If he missed it was fair game for guy #2 (or #1 if he could jack a new round in time.) Third guy would operate the clay-thrower. After a dozen or so clays we’d rotate.
Jeez, that was fun. Haven’t done it again since one guy died and the other moved away. Hard to shoot clays by yourself.
They make battery powered machines with a foot pedal, but shooting solo is just not the same.
Nice!
The closest I’ve come to shooting lately is having CandRsenal videos play in the background while working on the weekend.
And a little bidding on GunBroker. Antique Finn Mosin, 7.5mm Swiss ammo, and only one Lee-Enfield. We’ll see if I win.
I have some ammo now for my CZ-75. Maybe I’ll get a break from work soon to take it out to the range.
My LGS has what must be someone’s estate on the wall. Lots of antique military rifles. VERY high priced, and frankly I don’t feel like trying to source all of those cartridges.
One day, my estate sale will be epic. This is my goal and I’m on track. ?
I think mine will be pretty interesting.
This is a short clip of me shooting my dad’s Stephen’s side by side last year.

Nice little clip… assuming both were hits.
Yes. Second pair, I forgot their were two triggers…
there.
Got a few texts from my brother – he took his daughter out shooting, and both were very happy. He just brought along his .22 to the range, but was trying to plant the love of shooting. Sounds like he won
The magic of the internet. Love the gun…
That little bitty fore stock was a little tough to get used to.
I noticed that that was on the small side. 12 gauge?
Yes. It’s a Stephen’s from the early ’40s.
Nice!
So if you eat meat — or, for that matter, drink water or breathe air — there’s a real sense in which Donald Trump is trying to kill you.
Sounds like horseshit to me.

*Looks at world* Biggest dangers are Trump, global warming, white nationalists, deregulation, meat consumption.
Nothing a little a authoritarianism can’t solve, eh? Guess nukes and a full embrace of tribalism doesn’t crack the list unless you only focus on wypipo tribalism.
I forgot about that. Bootyjudge wants to take all of our guns and nuke anyone that doesnt comply. Fuckin’ shitheel totalitarian.
That was Swalwell IIRC. Hard to tell them apart, though.
Swallwell is the closeted one.
You are correct. I cant tell them apart.
Those PsOS are running against the guy that says he is going to put more money in everyone’s pocket and American interest first. But what about middle aged men that want to put on a dress and go in the bathroom with your 12yo grand daughter? What about that, huh smart guy?
Booty-gag is the one who is going to tell Ohio that he wants to end their oil boom and go all renewable. He won’t play well in the midwest and I’m guessing he’s making a VP play.
IIRC the only candidate who didn’t immediately sign on to the Glorious Revolution is Biden, and that’s because he hasn’t announced yet.
‘Bootyjudge’ Imma steal that, Suthen. Just FYI.
I think the biggest dangers are the chicken littles.
Saddest MTG tournament quote ever.
OT: Japanese Whiskey
Since I moved, my local liquor store has changed. My previous one had a decent Scotch selection but no Japanese. My new one has a shitty Scotch selection (not a single Tallisker 8^( ) but three different Japanese ones. There was one Suntory, which I didn’t get because I have some lingering memories of a bad Bill Murray movie and two others (which I don’t remember because I didn’t recognize them. Any advice from Glibs with a palate?
This place does have a fabulous selection of ciders. Which is a shame because most ciders are crap.
Can’t help you. I’ve not been wowed by the couple of Japanese whiskeys I’ve had and now that they’ve been “discovered”, the prices have skyrocketed.
Hibiki.
https://uptownspirits.com/product/liquor/whiskey/hibiki-japanese-harmony-whisky-750ml/?msclkid=ca97a1d0039f1ced646cfd6bb1cda212
Made by Suntory, it’s a mid range line for them. It’s actually really good. Japan is the only other place on Earth that makes serviceable “Scotch” (single malt, peated whisky).
I like Chita by Suntory but absolutely despise their Tory. Yamazaki is tasty.
Yes! Can’t get Chita or Kakubin around here.
I really like Hibiki 12 until it was discontinued. Harmony isn’t nearly as good. I picked up a Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt and it’s ok. Yamazaki & Hakushu are ok. Also like Mars Iwai Tradition (make sure it’s not regular Mars Iwai) and Fuji Sanroku. Watch out for fakish Japanese whiskies (imported whiskies bottled in Japan) or non-whiskies marked as whisky.
All of the above (except for the fake ones) should be taken with a large grain of salt as I have no palette.
Lost in Translation” is great film!
I like it before I had any interest in Japanese language or culture.
Of course the scene where his translator screws him over was even funnier once I understood (most) of the Japanese,
Ramen Girl was a decent movie. Nishida is a fun actor. Lost in Translation has that sad dog feeling that Western directors tend to inject into movies set in Japan.
I’ve heard of that, but not watched it.
The mystery surrounding the death of Brittany Murphy was how I found out about the film.
https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005261/bio?ref_=nm_ov_bio_sm
Wow.
Still a good movie.
Also, do you want to tell me Rashomon doesn’t have a ‘sad dog’ feeling?
…referring to LIT
Should’ve said that I enjoyed LoT. Just that I’m bored with that “Japanese society has a resigned desperation underlying everything” shtick. To be fair, they do that to every culture that appears in Hollywood films.
Perhaps Hollywood has a resigned desperation?
straffin, I think it’s more about the fact that the (English-speaking) characters are out of place when they’re somewhere different and no one understands them.
I think it’s understanding, or the lack thereof, that drives that theme. Don’t make me get into metaphors, because I know you know where I’m going with this.
I don’t really have a rant in me on this, but it is something I’ve felt for a while about how the West sees Japan and even all of Asia. The motivations of characters in movies are only about survival and pragmatism. Maybe they enjoy aesthetic beauty as they are dying (Last Samurai), but in the end it’s more about eating and simply existing. I subscribe to the theory that arts purpose to remind us that beauty exists in the world. There are multiple facets to life and when so many movies focus on that one side of it, it comes across as propaganda.
That’s the way I interpreted it as well.
However, after learning a bit more about Japanese and the culture you can see some of the shortcuts the films was in some ways forced to take to convey its “stranger in a strange land” setting.
But Hollywood does this for films in all kinds of settings, both foreign and domestic.
Also don’t underestimate what 13 hour jet lag does for your ability to think clearly!
One of my favorite scenes is Bill Murray talking to the old gentleman in the hospital. If you look at the two women extras in the background they can barely keep a straight face.
I need to see that. I love Brittany Murphy. I was so sad when she died 🙁
Yes! Yes! Didn’t really know who Nishida was but realized halfway through Outrage Coda it was the same guy as the cook in Ramen Girl.
It struck me as being a better version of David Lean’s Brief Encounter.
I guess I will just have to try them all. Another reason I was suspicious of the Suntory was it was extremely pale. Like closer to vodka than even a Lagavuiln 8.
You’re going to have trouble finding anything close to an Islay.
In a long list of stupid, this “rise of white nationalism” thing might be the King of Stupid.
They really, really, really want there to be a white supremacist movement so they can peel off a bunch of white voters. They’ve been doing everything in their power to convince us that it exists. I’d be surprised if Soros isn’t funding a bunch of Proud Boys groups.
It works and so they’ll do it. Keep hammering the guilt button until whites end up voting along skin color lines as much as other groups. Maybe my assumption is wrong, but it appears that whites vote as a block in fewer numbers than other groups. Anybody have numbers on this?
They want a race war. The “white nationalism” panic is just one angle.
I have a piece in the works about Prog Millenarianism. They *do* want to antagonize ideological enemies into a war; they think it will bring about a final conflict that will result in utopia.
It reminds me of ISIS; they were open about trying to goad the West into a war since that was required for the establishment of a perfect Islamic society.
Yeah, I was going to additionally mention the wars they also want between the sexes, the sexual preferences, the “classes”… it’s all the same phenomenon.
Huh. Just like the guy in NZ.
I dunno, the ‘Trump is a Russian puppet’ is pretty hard to top. White nationalism is maybe on par.

This reminds me a TON of a former girlfriend. Tiny girl; 5’3″/110 lbs. We went out and she wore a loose fitting shirt, along with the fact that she was a rail. Fast Forward, she takes off said loose fitting shirt and, to my surprise, about 25% of that 110 lbs. was tits. 32F, all natural and perfect, the best I’ve ever seen. She wore loose fitting stuff on dates to filter out guys that would only be interested in her most prominent assets.
She’s a lovely lady.
Though there are hints that the linked woman is rather large and her breasts are just compressed by her top.
Except for the soda and commie ball, sounds good.
+1 not mixing Scotch
It’s Dewars White, so, to my mind, acceptable for mixing.
Yes, if you are on an airplane, Dewars and soda is acceptable. However, I don’t know of any mixed drink that wouldn’t be improved by substituting the low-level scotch for low-level bourbon or Canadian.
NA gets it.
Preach it!

However, I’ve got leftover Dewars from a party a couple weeks ago so I need to dispose of it.

Gillespie’s natural allies…
Yeah, I read that. Sad.
You are talking about the same guy who spent a decade proclaiming the libertarian moment and how “socially tolerant” everyone was getting.
Americans are pretty tolerant except for the progtards and many on the religious right who like to pretend that only they are, when in fact, they’re the least tolerant.
So no different?
Pretty much.
I couldn’t read this, because between his collusion with Russia, the end of net neutrality, and the tax cuts, I died long ago. Thanks, Trump.
Trump castrated me with his mind.

This annoys the shit out of me. I watched that interview en toto and nowhere does he even suggest that the Nazi-wannabes were anything other than shitheads. Repeat it enough…

Yeah, I’m not shedding any tears.
My Crew is derping away what should be a win against Portland.
Double check that, Cooper
I’ll post a final report next week but Fort William in Scotland’s Highland League has given up – in 33 games – 240 goals (7.3/game).
I am assuming they are at the bottom of the pyramid, no where to be relegated down to?
Correct. Although last year they came close to leaving at the end of the season and going to one of the junior leagues.
I was just reading the wiki article on scottish system. Amazingly unorganized compared to Elgland.
They have too many clubs for the way things have evolved. There’s usually at least one part time club in the second tier.
Yeah, Scotland clubs get tiny in a hurry.
Rangers and Celtic should be playing in England like Swansea and Cardiff.
Ross County are top of the second tier and had 4000 at their last home game.
Colchester United in league two and outside the playoffs had about the same
Celtic probably enjoy all-but automatic qualification to the Champions League every year.
A stat which surprised me: the city I live in has 3 million more residents than the entire country of Scotland.

New woke update.
OT: It’s 95 today, cloudless sky, humidity in single digits, and solar flux at instant melanoma level. And I have spent the past hour or two crawling around in the attic, where I’m guessing it’s 30 degrees hotter.
Not recommended.
Yup. After about 9 months there, I could start smelling the ocean from Palm Springs, about 150 miles out and still desert.
Out here it was 65 with a marine layer all day.
Use some prudence about when you go in the attic. That can be a seriously dangerous environment, even for people who aren’t as physically compromised as you are.
No worries, we’ve been storing the heads elsewhere.
Between the heat and all that fiberglass insulation…sounds like you need a sponge bath.
*call me*
Oh my!
Yeah, that’s just…no.
I mean, he’s so desiccated, you’d have to refill the tub a couple of times.
I feel like I’ve heard about something like this recently. I wonder what the rest of the story looks like.

They’re just saving everyone time.
Why fuck up our county when your county is already a mess.
Let’s take those numbers at face value, for the sake of argument. 1000 Americans are .000003% of the population. How many Americans die because of the higher cost of heat due to rhose regulations? How much economic downturn is it worth to save 1000 lives? If an additional, say, 50 million American children go hungry because their parents have to choose between heat and groceries? For a guy who won a Nobel for economics, Krugman is remarkably ignorant about basic economics.
Man, that’s too much thinking
First thing we do is kill all the statisticians
You’ve got the percentage wrong: you need to get rid of two zeroes.
Right. Because percent. Thankfully, buildings aren’t usually built or repaired by percentages 😉
Unseen consequences < Seen virtue signalling.
He’s not ignorant about this, but is intentionally omitting this.
There are whole areas of economics that deal with how society spends its scarce resources to best protect life. If we are going to raise transportation costs should government mandate backup cameras in all new cars or positive train control, for example. (Answer – back up cameras based on the best data available.)
He willfully ignoring it to take cheap shots. He’s been doing this for years. He did the same things in reverse in order to praise Obama.
Anyone got a good synopsis on why positive train control isn’t worth it? All I know is Senator Moobs goes on and on with proof by assertion about how it’s a good thing, so I presume it’s ineffective at best.
I’d guess it’s because of limited resources: what’s the best improvement per dollar.
It’s not that it won’t save lives, but the cost per life saved is huge.
But because NY and NJ have badly decaying rail infrastructure and have had some fatalities this is viewed as “something must be done, this is something therefore it must be done”.
You could take this amount of money and throw it at various kinds of pollution and probably save more lives.
Why not do both?

Teach CPR in HS.
Heck, make everyone in HS graduate with an EMT-B.
So, looking for recommendations on a decent gun safe. Something that will hold a shotgun and a couple of rifles. Quick access is desirable.
elastic waistband.
That made me chuckle
Can’t really run with it, though
Look at Liberty and Heritage. Both have electronic access options. Even though I have a Heritage, I would give the nod to Liberty. They also make Cabela brand safes.
Thanks
This is the one I have.

I love it, though when I bought it, Costco had it on sale for 699. You could wait until that sale comes around again, though even at 1000 I still think it’s a good deal. Make sure the delivery guys will install and bolt it down for you.
Get yourself a waifu with a tight grip.
Waifu for your raifu?
Just make sure it’s steel. Too many cheap safes are filled fill cement and shit.
Remember all the dire predictions that if Obama didn’t win a 2nd term, the ghetto would erupt in riot?
If Trump doesn’t win a second term, the deplorables will riot?
Krugfuck seems to imply that.
Good excuse to send the army in?
Deplorables will orgy and bring forth the conquering generation from the primitive yet fertile wombs of their women.
Yeah, and when those didn’t erupt when he lost, I was all, like, “toldya so”.
What? He won his second term.
Forget it, he’s rolling.
My dad went on an alcohol fueled rant tonight, about how the justice system is designed to bend you over… I think his transition to Libertarian is complete. He’ll still vote team red, guess that’s better than blue. Can’t blame him we haven’t provided a candidate worth voting for.
BBC used to publish attendances. Most Scottish clubs below the premiership get attendances at about National League level in England.
Supposed to be above reply to robc
Im always alcohol fueled.
I prescribed to your new mail, or something like that.
Replied.
replied to the reply.
All right, get a private channel, you two.
? ?
It’s OK, they went to Harvard.
Everybody’sgotta go sometime
Libertarians will never provide a candidate worth voting for because it’s anathema to the very ideology. The best you can really hope for is a true Constitutional Conservative who really believes it. Think President Mike Lee. You won’t get everything you want, but you will get closer than just about anybody else.
*Has sad that I ran for office*
Gary Johnson chosen followed by a fat bearded guy stripping down on live camera because someone dared him to. ’nuff said.
See, it was hard to tell if you meant big or little L because you started the sentence with it, therefore it was capitalized. I didn’t run under a Big L.
The problem is, this country is so far down the “political party” path, that little l’s stand no chance at this point. That doesn’t mean I don’t want those willing to put themselves on the line to continue to do so, it just means that the pragmatic side of me understands the reality of the situation. I’m all for bashing my head against the wall for principle, but at some point, you have to be pragmatic. If someone comes along that moves the ball in the right direction, even a little bit, they will probably get my support. W, McCain, Trump, didn’t get my support. And lo and behold, Trump actually has moved the needle somewhat in the right direction. Momentum matters, and hopefully my grandchildren will get to vote for someone that actually believes in the Constitution as written. I’m not holding my breath and I will most likely be dead by then, so I’m not going to expend a great deal of emotion on not getting something I knew I wasn’t going to get in the first place.
As the left becomes more authoritarian, the right will become more libertarian.
OMFG. The comments.
What? Where?
Hi didly Ho Neighborinos!
Shut up Flanders
Shut the up, fucking
AustrianAustralian! That’s it! I’m calling the prime minister: https://simpsons.fandom.com/wiki/Andy_(Bart_vs._Australia)
glad the Simpsons was accurate calling ‘the lake’, if years of TV have taught me anything, Australia has one river, one lake, 10 million spiders and snakes, 20 million kangaroos and Koalas and one Dundee.
This is correct
Ha. The Simpsons are meh. For good entertainment, I’m thinking someone should invent something that happens years from now. You could call it, I don’t know, Upcomingarama, or FutureXploits, or something.
Enh, whatever as long as there’s blackjack and hookers.
Wherever I go, I bring a couple of hookers.
I thought he was from Oakland.
Stupid sexy Flanders.

It’s the Freddy Mercury mustache, isn’t it?
To recap my day, I wanted to get my riding mower running now that the snow and ice are almost gone, the engine wouldn’t turn over or headlights turn on, even after jumping it for 30 minutes. Took the battery to get replaced via warranty, they said the battery was good, opened it up an something chewed through one of the wires to the starter sylinoid. Always something.
Coons!

RACIST!!
AOC’s message for the future:
https://youtu.be/d9uTH0iprVQ
Enjoy seven minutes and thirty seconds of pure derp plus she’s apparently invented a time machine. Good for her.
I really hate the youtube personalities who are treating her like she was just a rube cast be the face of something. She has been working for it, and it’s fucking scary how entitled she is. She’s the kind of moron that can really lead a pack of lemmings on a death march. She’s dumb, but she has been deliberate.
Yeah, they’re overcomplicating it, she doesn’t come out of central casting. What it comes down to is that she and her handlers figured out that far left politics sell well in some districts so the more radical the better and that winning the primary in those districts almost certainly amounts to winning the election. It was actually a fairly astute strategy on their part that got her elected.
Any Democrat would have won her district. Winning the primary was her only real victory.
Happy 4/20.

And happy Easter to you my son. Lust rejoice in the Resurrection of Christ! By having some motherfucking beers!
LOL, that’s a good John-O. I meant to say ‘Let us rejoice’, but what my drunk hands typed fit Q well.

We covered this already. Mr. Transphobic, how about you just watch some guy who’s defining moment in life is making people eat cockroaches for money and pretend that means he knows things.
Been discussed the past day or so. So be it, just dont expect me to pay for it. You are a South Aftican native…seek their approval for your desire so choose your child’s life.
If you’re a US taxpayer you sort of are:

If you object to any of this, you’re an alt-right wing-nut Nazi.
I’m watching Reindeer Games on Netflix. Charlize Theron is a wonderful actress. And this movie is really good.
That movie was shot in my hometown and I had to stay in that rustic cabin motel for over a month while our old house was demoed and a new one put in place.
If 4/20 had fallen tomorrow, we coulda celebrated Joints for Jesus.
Given thay Jesus drank wine….I am sure that in moderation the Lord doesnt mind…
The man didn’t just drink it; the myth says that he was at a wedding party, and they ran out of wine, so this cat turns water into wine, to, like, you know, keep the party going [insert link to badass songp
DenverJ bursts into flame.
+1 Trip With Jesus
I’m keeping an open mind about Jimmy Kimmel’s All in the Family remake. Could be accidentally hilarious.
Jimmy Kimmel’s sense of humor (which was always inferior to Corolla’s) got destroyed by TDS cancer.
My prediction is that they’ll fuck it up so badly that it will produce some delicious backlash. How do you have a PC incorrect character in the age on no platforming?
All in the Family was already one of the wokest sit-coms of its time. Short of sending Archie to a camp, it’s hard to see what more they could do with it.
That was the intention, but I remember most people hated meathead more than they did Archie.
Yes, the audience doesn’t always gaf about the authors intentions, this confuses a lot of idiot artists.
And that’s why as an artist you better be damn sure you’re being as honest as possible about why you’re doing what you’re doing. People, despite their faults, can smell bullshit ulterior motives.
Meh, if I get paid, I don’t care if I’m understood.
Being rightfully ridiculed as a scam artist is no way to make a living. Your Hat and Hair cartoons don’t come off as covering for some secondary motive. But, now I’m going to keep an ? on you.
I see no casting announcement for the part of “Meat-Head”. Might I suggest Leo or Ben?
If the shoe fits…

Do the Dems really want to drag Libya back into the news?
Alright, I got’s work in the morn, but someone somewhere above linked Adam Schiff’s Twatter, so this. Night yall.
Happy Easter!!
A nice coworker lady of Italian extraction wished me Happy Easter once a couple decades ago, then immediately recoiled in horror as if she realized where she was (NYC) and thought that she might have offended me. It was too fleeting a moment for me to sit her down and explain that, No, while I may have been part-time raised a Catholic I don’t really celebrate etc etc derpity doo, long story short nothing offends me. I didn’t even give any outward sign of any of this; it was all just a “sign of the times” thing.
Well it is Easter so the tradition of walking on eggshells seems appopriate.
Egg-zactly.
No holiday for this guy but I do get to book 8 hrs at double-time and a half for 3 hrs of work on Sunday so at least I’ve got that going for me…
$$$$$$$$$$$$. Go get it, Festus. Happy Easter to the rest of Y’all, too.

The story behind one of my favourite Old Sad Bastard tunes https://youtu.be/3oxe4mlsQoshind . I didn’t appreciate the song when I was 9 or 10 but it grew on me.
