Good morning my Glibs and Gliberinas! And what a glorious morning it is for everyone as America’s Creepy Uncle tossed his hat into the presidential race! According to the latest poll, he holds a lead over everyone including Trump. The man in a complete fucking moron, the entertainment value is going to be fantastic.

That’s all I got for today, I’ll leave you with a song and move along with my day.
Family lore has it that one of my father’s fraternity brother beat up Uncle Joe and U of D for messing around with his girl friend.
Rumor was that he was as dumb as a box of rocks.

My advice for Joe.
Take care of your health, Joe
“Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Biden received five student draft deferments during the Vietnam War, the same number of deferments received by Vice President Dick Cheney, and later was disqualified from service because of asthma that he suffered as a teenager”.
A real American Hero!
My dad decided to have me after a bad meeting with the draft board.
Funny thing was was he didn’t know it at the time, but he managed to pull one of something like 50 available JAG corp slots before the deferment.
OTH, his brother (my uncle) wound up in the Seabees as he wasn’t that lucky. The family joke there was that he spent 4 years in the Navy and never set foot on a ship.
Sometimes rumors are true. If outward appearances are any indicators, Joe is clean, well-spoken and articulate but it ends there
Mornin’
Short cans up!

Will a Biden presidency be proof of the libertarian moment?
Depends. What did Rothbard have to say about it?
Biden is pro-war so I don’t think Rothbard would have liked him.
Biden has always been one of those old-timey farmhouse weather vanes. Always acting the cock and sniffing for the next change in direction.
So he will go full Dem Society and woke then?
I’d bet yes on that. He’ll be a yes on everything from reparations to gun control to open borders. Good luck getting the nomination without those things.
If he does that he’s gonna get Mondale crushed.
The days of Reagan or Nixon style electoral blowouts are gone, as the partisan lines have hardened. The Dems could nominate a Corgi dog and get about 200 EC votes.
Honestly, I still doubt the wisdom of that strategy. Biden isn’t some nobody who needs to build a national network. He’s got a lot of politicians who owe him favors. And, unlike Clinton, Biden doesn’t have one Bernie for the opposition to rally around, but a dozen. Now, initially, that sounds terrible for going the moderate route. But, not really. Because with a dozen Bernies, there’s not one for the hardline progressives to rally around. At least not until a bunch of them drop out of the race. And, by then, Biden can have built an insurmountable lead. Going the woke route, on the other hand, puts a target on his back for all the years he wasn’t woke.
Those are actually some good points you have there wdalasio. He can present himself as the sane guy while the others compete for a divided insane vote. We’ll see how it all shakes out I suppose but your play is the smart one.
My Corgi is smarter than your Dem candidate
I’m TLTG, but pretty sure he’s a massive drug warrior.
… Which might actually be too much for even the Jacket to reconcile.
“To be sure, Biden has historically been terrible on civil liberties, economic freedom, and government spending. But he has shown willingness to be flexible on these concepts, whereas Trump let the Mueller investigation drag on for over two years instead of cutting such wasteful government ‘investigations’ when he had the chance.”
Damn, I thought that was a real quote for a second.
That’s as far as I made it in that link.
G’morning all!
Is that the politically correct label for homeless? Mornin’
Well, I did see a bum walk right out of his pants this evening and just keep striding along in his skivvies.
Gotta make my train. Pants or not.
Oh, he wasn’t rushing for any train. Just ambling along and lost his trou. Didn’t break stride, even. It was like he was well-versed in the art.
It wasn’t that bad. The dude at least got an accounting degree so he could, conceptually, make a living.
Of course he’s not, but he could…
I don’t even malign the guy for doing what he loves at the expense of his future financial security. There are plenty of people out there that sacrifice their financial futures for much less interesting things.
However, the only people who use “free spirit” anymore are 22 year old crunchy girls and insufferable douchebags.
Congrats to him on the achievement, though. That’s a pretty cool hike record.

Free spirit?
https://youtu.be/wtvwghyk5ls
Yeah, something about his lifestyle just doesn’t add up.
In my limited experience someone that refers to themself as a “Free Spirit” is either wonky in the head, a grifter or both at the same time.
I was counting on a pun thread here, but apparently that’s going to be an uphill battle this morning.
Bring it! Or, you can take a hike.
“couldn’t handle the pressure of 44 miles in 10 hours.”
Wow ! That’s some serious walking. I do 4 miles in an hour, on a treadmill, but only for 1 hour. That pretty much sums up my day’s activity.
I have done a lot of hiking myself as it gives me time alone to think because of how fast I walk, and time to enjoy the outdoors. Heck, I did 20 miles last Sunday in under 7 hrs. Doing 44 miles in 10 hrs these days however, is not something I would try for.
Almost two decades ago I did the “Four States in a Day” challenge along the Appalachian Trail. You wake up in VA, walk through WV and MD to end the day in PA. It was 58.3 miles in a day. I was doing mucho hiking at the time, was fit and motivated. I made it, but was eating ibuprofen and stiffly walking for a week afterwards. That this guy could do that day in and out for over two weeks is impressive.
At Philmont, we had the “ranger marathon” which was 50+ miles through the mountains over a single (summer) day.
Oh to be 19 again.
I can do about 6 miles on a treadmill in an hour, but I’d be thrashed. I can do 4 mph on flat smooth terrain for a while, maybe 2 or 3 hours. Keeping up that pace all day on uneven rocky or sandy terrain, day after day? Not even.
Sorry/not sorry about my distaste for Jackson. He always reminded me of the folky guy that had his guitar smashed by Bluto. Ya know, the kind of guy that is always hitting on your girlfriend when he thinks you’re not looking.
And then there’s his tedious political stuff
Shitting on suburbia. Edgy!
I always get a laugh out of reading the reviews of mediocre Douglas Sirk movies that are praised for having the right views of middle-class 1950s small town/suburbia.
But I was thinking of the music as something akin to this horrible shit.
Ugh. I was never a super-fan of the Police but they did have some good tunes and were all talented musicians. I probably would have liked them if it weren’t for the MTV.
This is the fucking worst.
Is there anything more tedious than “suburbans are hellscapes of quiet desperation” movies? It’s why I hated American Beauty so much.
It’s a mindset rooted in never getting past adolescence. To teenaged me suburbs were awful, oppressive places where nothing worthwhile (for 13 year old boy values for worthwhile, meaning no heroic adventures involving saving smoking hot princesses from cartoonishly evil warlords and getting penthouse letters style rewards). Then I grew up and realized ‘adventures’ usually ended up with less porn sex and more ER visits.
I never really got over my hate of the suburbs. The obsession over property value of your cookie cutter McMansion. Having to perfectly manicure your 1/10 acre plot for fear of the ire of the HOA. Neighbors within 100 feet in all directions. The neighborhood gets a vote on paint colors, fence style, bushes, trees, and everything else. Nosy neighbors getting involved whenever your kids walk too far away from your house unsupervised.
The suburbs felt restrictive when I was 13, and they feel restrictive at 30.
trshmnstr: Those are different suburbs then where I grew up and live now. No HOA at all, the city can have some stupid laws (since I have a corner lot I can’t fully fence in my full back yard) but I could paint my house blaze orange if I wanted. I’ve talked to a couple of neighbors, and none of us really care too much what the others are doing. There’s a park down the street and there’s kids walking there all summer and any day with no school.
Where I grew up, it was expected that kids would cut through back yards (and only a couple of houses yelled about it, and you learned quickly which ones had dogs that would chase you), there was still undeveloped woods that you could play in, and the parental rule younger then 8 or so was to go no further down the street then the next fire hydrant. Older then that, it was to be home when (or shortly after) the streetlights came on.
I didn’t grow up in a suburb. I lived in a small town (~200 people, 2 gas stations, 2 bars, and a feed mill). I had a bike and a 20 mile radius in which to use it. I knew where the fish were biting. I knew where the teenagers hid their booze and nudie mags. It was nothing to ride 14 miles to Johnson’s farm, detassle corn most of the day, then ride back before Mom got home from work.
My kids barely leave the house. I don’t believe they have ever packed their own lunch. Those expensive bikes we bought them have maybe 50 miles on them.
@neph: I grew up in a neighborhood like that until I was 10. Then the woods and fields around us were developed into the neighborhood we ended up moving into. The difference was night and day. We moved from a place where the neighbors would mow your yard for you if the grass was getting tall to a neighborhood where if you missed a week, you could expect a passive-aggressive letter from the HOA.
Old neighborhoods are much better than new ones.
I saw him in St. Paul at the very first Arena show he did. I was right in front of the stage. He was visible uncomfortable with the size of the crowd. Despite this, he put on a great show.
Marvel President Says Movies Will Go ‘Inclusive,’ Adding ‘Gay’ and ‘Body Positive’ Heroes.
I’ll wager they’ll also go unprofitable, perhaps bankrupt.
Disney is looking to kill another valuable franchise, apparently.
You would figure after they destroyed the Star Wars franchise they would have learned a lesson, but it seems like they are hell bent on teaching the public a lesson even if it destroys them financially. I own no Disney stock (on purpose), but if I did, I would be voting against any and all members of the Disney board.
From Disney’s perspective, the only way to kill the franchise is not churn out shit every ten years thus failing to extend the copyrights.
You would think that the shareholders would take notice eventually.
CalPers and CalsTers prolly own most of the company.
If I had to guess, the lack of financial impact to the Captain Marvel backlash has made them bold.
What was the Captain Marvel backlash?
Brie Larson in an interview said she didn’t want white males to review her movie. This got misquoted and reinterpreted into all sorts of things. This caused Rotten Tomatoes to change their review system after Captain Marvel was getting review bombed before it had even been released. I still went and saw it, it wasn’t bad, I disliked the characterization of Nick Fury, enjoyed a bit of the twist, and that it was a serviceable introduction to the character.
Add that to Feige saying that Captain Marvel was going to be the strongest Avenger yet, and that she would be the face of the MCU going forward, and it made a bunch of people take a step back. Then there was the ham-handed poster which referenced your new “Captain” (at a time when lots of people expect Captain America to die in the next film).
You enjoyed the twist? It made no sense in the context of the rest of the movie. And then she just accepts it no questions asked? Completely took me out if it
I’m referring to the Kree/Skrull one just to be sure we’re talking about the same thing. I appreciate that neither of them were on the side of the angels.
I agree with your assessment of the movie. It wasn’t a bad movie and it was a good intro to a relatively obscure character to those not deep into comics. I didn’t get any overpowering SJW messages in the movie, there were a few “Girl Power” references, but overall I like the movie.
That’s so groundbreaking! I think that MLW already has her hands full at this point, though…

This would be hilarious and educational if it was not so close to the truth and the people peddling this SJ shit didn’t have their heads so far up their asses that they would realize how counterproductive and stupid their message was.
I’m pretty positive about Brie Larson’s body, provided she keep her yap shut.
^Yup.
She does it for #metoo.
She reminds me of the Seinfeld Episode where Jerry’s girlfriend would look good in some light at some angles and hideous at others. Also, would.

Cohen sure is a snivel-y little bitch. It’s not surprising he snitched. Fucking guy pled guilty, now he doesn’t want to take his lumps? Then don’t plead out. It probably wasn’t even a crime, moron. And you’re a lawyer, no less.
I think the point he was making was that they threatened to come after his wife if he didn’t plead guilty. And the sentencing was not in line with what he was lead to believe.
Which, as you know, would be completely inconceivable for a federal prosecutor. They would never use extortion to obtain a guilty plea. And this prosecution team would never alter the terms of a deal after the fact. They aren’t that kind of folks.
The dude was a lawyer, right? He didn’t know this shit?
That’s why you stand up and fight. He folded right up like a lawn chairs and now he’s whining about it. Prosecutors are scum, but they rely on everyone pussing out. If 20 percent of the victims fought, the whole system would crumble.
I’ve altered the deal, pray I don’t alter it further. – Darth Prosecutor
The only guy who came out of Watergate looking good was G. Gordon Liddy. Mostly because that nut was a standup guy. Disagree with his politics or actions, but the fact that he stood for what he believed made you at least respect him.
These fuckers that roll so easily and then whine when they are bitch slapped around? What did they think was going to happen?
G. Gordon Liddy is a helluva character. Repugnant in many ways, yet oddly admirable in the way he doesn’t even bother trying to hide his authoritarianism. He’s pretty funny too, honestly. I used to enjoy his radio show way back when, and Will is a fascinating read.
I didn’t meant to his submit yet……anyway, for anyone that has read Will, tell me Michael Cohen isn’t a dead ringer for Liddy’s characterization of Jeb Magruder?
well, shit……edit faerie, I call on you!
Especially if you’re thicc edit faerie.
He’s a lawyer who sold out his client for what he perceived as “the greater good” based on whatever public sentiment was running in his circles. He didn’t serve as useful to them, so they chewed him up and spit him out, he deserves everything he has coming to him. I’d have respect for him had he tried to stand for something.

If we actually had kids today look at all that shit put together back when by old white dudes, some might have encountered this saying and taken it to heart. Unfortunately they will have to experience it in real life before the lesson is hopefully imparted. Then again, when I look at people like Karla Marx getting away with constantly upping their stupid quotient and not just getting away with it, but being painted as a courageous fighter for the cause, I am unsure this lesson is being learned at all.
Y’know Oprah’s been on the air pretty much my entire adult life so there’s always that.

Is that the type of moment that doesn’t rotate left or right but only faceplants forward?
That is some really impressive racism on display.
He follows up with a tweet that says it is a fair assertion because Georgia is racist and they flew a racist flag that says “as long as I’m alive, golfers will be white and caddies will be black”.
Holy crap… in today’s SJW sensitivity culture where you can’t mention the religion of people who explicitly kill in the name of their religion, and you can’t call a dude in a dress “Sir” without risking your livelihood, how the hell does this idiot keep his job?

Film school triggered by Birth of A Nation posters.
Retards.
So let’s erase any trace of that history. Because reasons.
We’re on that path clearly.
That quote is confusing. They want to erase history so how can they take that assertion seriously? If you erase history for posterity it will be repeated, no?
Retards for real.
My bad de Mille’s granddaughter said that. She seems fine with it though?
I’m gonna stop now.
And many people are going to argue DeMille is controversial for The Ten Commandments.
They are still airing it on Easter, for now…
That’s a quote from Cecil B. DeMille’s granddaughter who donated those posters. She is acknowledging that it was a controversial film even in 1915. She seems to be suggesting her grandfather thought Griffith was a racist which might be true. Fun fact: DeMille’s grandfather was a Confederate soldier.
Her comments suggesting Griffith’s career ended because of a backlash to the film is questionable though.
I clarified that….three minutes ago. /slap!
Maybe we can get Bernie elected and film “The Afterbirth of a Nation”.
Good one, Straff
I see what uterous did there
I’m gonna guess these two will be very boring movies.
“I’m very pleased. I’m super happy that the faculty finally got their say and they made what I think is the right choice,” said first-year film production graduate student Arri Caviness, one of the student leaders advocating for the posters’ removal.
Added Amanda Dyer, a first-year producing graduate student and student leader: “This was unfortunately a controversial issue that should have been much simpler, but we’re glad that people came to their senses.”
Also what the heck is the school thinking removing it?
Censorship IN A FUCKING ARTS SCHOOL.
Member when it was the Right that was pro-censorship and the Left was up in arms about it? Pepperidge Farms remembuhs.
That’s because the censor were church ladies and Bible thumpers who suck but woke censorship are good.
I think that “woke” censorship is much more dangerous and I hated those busy-bodies way back when.
Well, that and it took a picture of some guy shoving a bullwhip up his ass to get the would-be nannies panties in a twist. And even then the objection was about government funding for pictures of dudes shoving things up their ass, not the existence of the pictures.
A poster of one of the most important movies in US film history being displayed in a film school should not really be controversial in any way. Well, I suppose it would be controversial if you also put a plaque beside it that said “this film totes represents our view of the world, and we should totes do things this way!”
Ah, at this point I kind of hate everyone equally so it’s a wash.
We’ve gone full 360, eh?
Nuts. Just nuts.
And they’re all proud of being censorious snowflakes because of a poster and its symbolism. Know how many things we’ll have to tear down because reasons?
Someone has to simply say…NO with an emphatic FUCK OFF.
Well, TBF, I’m pretty sure there’s a lot of conservatives who are still pro-censorship. They’re just not getting amplified in the media right now because the comparisons would embarrass a lot of people.
I think the existence of the internet broke them. You can’t shove that steaming mess back in the bottle.
Well, the Brits seem to be giving it a go… so maybe if they succeed we’ll get another round of stupid over here.
Yeh but video games and porn are still targets.
But both video games and porn are also under attack by the SJW’s now.
Do not mention gamergate, you men’s rights spewing, misogynist pig!
Porn is the big target in my circles. The video game ship sailed a while ago.
Are your circles objectively pro-rape, or do they just not know anything?
But more targeted by feminists and SJW’s than socons.
They see porn as a form of low key adultery. Nobody is really agitating to ban it all, but it’s pretty well stigmatized.
They were, but Glen Beck cured them of that when he made that Piss Obama piece of artwork.
Would Mapplethorp have the guts to put Piss Mohamed in one of his exhibits today?
He wouldn’t do it because that wouldn’t be woke. Christian bashing is always in season and relatively safe (nowadays).
Of course not, especially since the leftist art crowd would excoriate him for it as well as his life being endangered by jihadis. It’s only brave and bold to mock one religion, you know.
That would actually be epic. But didn’t he die of aids a long time ago? Too bad, that would have made his work as a whole into an actual statement, instead of just a bunch of stuff that is provocative for the sake of being provocative.
Yup. He croaked quite a while ago.
I have no idea if he was a real artist who actually would have challenged Islamic fundies the same way he challenged Christian fundies or if he was just a standard lefty who really only wanted to taunt the squares in America.
Joe from Lowell back at TOS used to tell us proles that Piss Christ had real artistic merit because of the way the lighting brought out the colors of the….. [falls asleep on keyboard]….
That’s what Glen Beck is for.
I vaguely remember Sarah Silverman (I think) being asked a similar question after she started mocking Christians. Her answer was along the lines of “no way would I mock Muslims – far too dangerous.”
Thought that was Maher.
I think it was both.
I saw Damned in the USA in one of them Montreal art house cinemas back in the 90s.
This thing about being provocative is art because it’s a form of expression doesn’t work for me.
It has to be more than that for it to be beautiful and meaningful.
I think.
Tipper Gore would like to point out there have been moments of bipartisanship in censorship.
What a bunch of weak morons. Can’t wait to see what boring and inoffensive/woke content films this bunch of students will unleash one day.
We can only hope they won’t use safety film.
I see what you did there.
Boring and woke, yes… inoffensive…. yeah, I doubt that.
Congrats to Jeff Garmire! As a dude who has and loves hikes, that’s pretty awesome.
Accurately acknowledging history is celebrating white supremacy. Got it.
No, Suthen. You can never get “it”.
These arguments never make any sense.
I like to keep pointing out that these assertions only work if whites are indeed the master race.
If so, they’re effectively arguing that whiteness is inherently superior, and must be crushed for it. That’s a lot of mental hoops to jump through.
Racism makes people stupid regardless of where your bigotries are pointed.

“The core values of this nation, our standing in the world, our very democracy, everything that has made America — America — is at stake. That’s why today I’m announcing my candidacy for president of the United States,” Biden tweeted early Thursday.
Sure,
JanJoe.“With those words, the president of the United assigned a moral equivalence between those spreading hate and those with the courage to stand against it,”
We’re still taking those remarks this far out of context?
We are in the battle for the soul of this nation.
Uh huh…
Biden argued that “if we give Donald Trump eight years in the White House, he will forever and fundamentally alter the character of this nation, who we are, and I cannot stand by and watch that happen.”
Yea, we wouldn’t want that… ///changeyoucanbelievein
So Joe is gonna come in and continue shitting the bed just like Obama did? Sounds nice.
The media is all-in on the new push to label anyone who opposes the Democrats (and Biden in particular) as racists.
NBC introduced Biden’s announcement in glowing terms, with repeated references to the Charlottesville protests. The exact phrase was “the white supremacist march in Charlottesville.” Sometimes with the kicker of “where Heather Hayer was murdered by a white supremacist” or “where a white supremacist mowed down”. Always followed with “and Trump’s controversial remarks at the time that there were good people on both sides”. Or “Trump’s support for the white supremacists, saying “there are good people on both sides”.
The propaganda push is on. Gotta burnish that racism talisman again!
They must be really worried that Trump is going to peel off a chunk of the minority vote, what with record employment levels in minority communities.
Don’t ever question why nobody, including prominent Democrats and black activists, thought Trump to be racist prior to the 2016 election.
Thot Thursday gives ass-Glibs something to be happy about.

Peach halves in heavy syrup.
Well, the last favourite went down last night.
And deservedly so. The Caps played not only like crap in the OT but with some degree of arrogance.
Do they know they’re the BLOODY CAPITALS?
Carolina played like stars.
And I think it’s time to erect a Game 7 Justin Williams statue. If he’s not scoring G7 game winners he’s setting them up.
It was a horrible game for most of regulation. I think they’re gonna have their hands full with the Islanders, though.
I agree. That’s why I was reading Boccaccio for most of it. I started paying closer attention at 3-2.
Dear god, all I want out of these playoffs is the Islanders sent the fuck home. How the hell is Robin Lehner a great goalie all of a sudden? Pisses me right off.
That’s what I said about the Capitals and my wish came true 🙂
All 4 division winners lost…something is weird with hockey.
The season is too long and too many teams make the playoffs. Christ, they still have three more series to play! This round may not end until May 8.
Stupid.
I was reading an article the other day that the players are looking to push for a change to the playoff system. As an example, making the two wild card teams play against each other in order to see who goes to the rest of the play offs (which makes sense to me).
Hockey in May is dumb. Hockey in June is even dumber.
Use roller skates, cut down on the ice making emissions. AC or outside, your call.
They have kept the playoff the same size forever.
Remember when the divisions were 5 teams deep and they took 4? Except for whatever the east was called then, it had 6 teams.
Also, basketball playoffs are same size and season is same length, but you don’t see these kind of upsets.
No upsets in first round of basketball yet. 6 of the 8 series are done, and the 1 and 2 seeds in the west are both up 3-2 in the remaining 2 series.
No, instead you know who will be in the finals in the first week of the season.
I don’t see that as an improvement.
Read Neph’s article. It gives a good rundown of the history and the options.
My biggest complaint is the 82 game season. There are sooooo many throwaway games. The last time there was a lockout was great, because a bullshit cross division game actually meant something.
It’s not going to change meaningfully. I get that. I’m just bored by June.
NHL and NBA should go to 5-game series except for the last series. You’re not going to wind up with more upsets in hockey, and you might get an upset or two in basketball for a change.
Yep. A couple years back when they played the short season due to strike/lockout issues was much better.
Yeah, “throwaway”. Until you miss the playoffs because of the points you lost in November when you were thinking about turkey instead of diving in front of the shot from the slot.
Go BLUES ♫♪♪♪!
I think you mean Blue Jackets, right? 🙂
Cassowaries oughta be the next “accidentally” introduced species in the Everglades.
The battle between them, the Burmese pythons, the gators and legions of Florida Men would awaken the Great Old Ones and destroy the Earth.
The gorillas will freeze in the winter?
Don’t underestimate Florida Man. Next there’ll be headline news about some hapless fuck getting sentenced to 25 years in prison for raping a bird.
Allegedly!
Will his defense be that he was just “basting” it before he BBQ’ed it?
According to an interview with cannibals I read, cassowaries taste more like people than pigs do.
If pig meat is pork… If cow meat is beef… how do cannibals refer to human meat?
I dunno, tasty?
Steve.
Sorry, I realize you might have been thinking a punchline was coming; I was only ruminating. But I did look it up. In English, it’s been called Long Pig/Pork.
Since “pork” and “beef” are just Anglicization of French words for “pig” and “cow,” the word for “meat of humans” would be “Humanie” or, more likely, just “human.”
“It was like good, fully developed veal, not young, but not yet beef. It was very definitely like that, and it was not like any other meat I had ever tasted. It was so nearly like good, fully developed veal that I think no person with a palate of ordinary, normal sensitiveness could distinguish it from veal. It was mild, good meat with no other sharply defined or highly characteristic taste such as for instance, goat, high game, and pork have.”

So cassowary tastes like veal…
Surely there’s got to be a way to monetize this to make “cruelty free ‘veal'” cutlets for California German and Italian restaurants.
RE: Biden.
I’m sure the DNC will rig it in his favor as he’s the milquetoast candidate the aging power brokers can stomach; basically he’s the Dems’ Romney (but a lot funnier in his stupidity). I think the Gen Z/Millennial prog contingent will throw a hissy fit about Bernie getting cheated again and stay home.
The DNC would be right that Biden is the candidate that currently stands the best chance of winning back the Midwestern voters that gave Trump the win; is it enough? Who knows? All I know is that the Dem Primary food fight is going to be epic and hilarious.
Biden’s pathetic attempted pandering to the SJW contingent has already been hilarious, in a horribly cringey way.
There will be so much more stepping-on-dick before it’s over, I can’t wait.
Pretty much. I hope he makes it so I can watch him and Trump debate. Now that’s what I call quality comedy.
If Biden wins the Presidency he’s the lesser of all evils.
The others running are either just too fricken nuts or unprincipled, opportunistic hacks – ie Harris and the Indian. How many times has Harris flipped-flopped now? Duck season! Rabbit season! should be her slogan.
That’s exactly how I would describe Biden in his more lucid moments. He was a hack in the 80’s and still is.
He was beating Trump and all other Democrats in the polls by more than Hillary was without announcing his candidacy. His goal should be to say and do as little as possible and coast to victory.
Ha Ha Ha! You don’t know Joe!
I suppose plagarizing Corbyn would count as not saying anything…
He’s better with his hands anyway.
^^^ !
So the new Dewey?
So you’re asking Joe Biden to sit on his hands?
Joe Biden?
I don’t think Biden has the energy to campaign hard enough. Trump does.
Plus Biden is too white for the SJW set.
If I recall his debating style correctly, he simply plays the ridicule card, laughing and smirking at his opponent. That shtick will only go so far in this long race.
That might be the only way to beat Trump in a debate. “Whatever you say, Donald…” It might not work in the primary though. Gotta tick off the talking points.

///FakeNews. Forest Gump already did this.
In this week’s beer news, another long running brewery is in financial trouble. Weyerbacher has sold a majority stake to a private investment group, and filled for Chapter 11. Seems like we’re in the current round of shaking out those who expanded too quickly.
That was five years ago, and even with the contract work they are only at a third of capacity. I gotta believe this is gonna start playing out in many other places.
And pumpkin? Really?
They were one of the first with a big pumpkin beer. But this is already playing out, off the top of my head, Green Flash went under, Stone sold their Berlin location (and halted their expansion on the East Coast), New Belgium laid off workers, Smuttynose went up for auction, Boston Beer (Sam Adams) is moving more into their other lines (cider, shandy, malt based beverages), Tallgrass brewing pulled out of markets and shrank distribution, and Constellation halted plans for multiple new Ballast Point locations (and came close to admitting they overpaid for the brewery). I’m probably missing at least half a dozen more that happened in the past couple of years.
Not to mention a certain glib crashing and burning. But I never got big enough to get on anyone’s radar.
It looks like 7000 or so might be the saturation point. There is a limit to shelf space.
If you ever feel like writing up what happened, I know I for one would be interested. And I hope you know that I understand how rough it is to even get off the ground and get going in the industry.
In any industry. I am a veteran of several start-ups and still bear the scars of a couple of them.
I respect the hell out of anyone who has the balls to try it.
Indeed. I’m just a bench warmer, so getting up and taking a swing no matter what happens after is reason enough to hold your head high.
It is still a bit too painful. Might always be.
The good thing: the beer was very good, I don’t screw that part up. Everything else, pretty much.
Understood entirely.
I have a friend that runs a meadery. He makes very good product. He struggles to keep the business going. I have several other friends that have opened wineries. They make quality products. They aren’t getting rich.
People ask me all the time when I am going pro. I say never. The work is hard and the competition is merciless. Much easier to stay and engineer and enjoy my hobbies.
The funny thing, after my post above but before your response, I was thinking, “I should write a post about it…nope, not yet.”
Not trying to push at all, just wanted to add that I too would be very interested to read about it if you ever feel comfortable enough to share with us.
The other thing is people are content to just go to tap rooms. Trying to be in as many places as possible is expensive and seems to go against the ‘exclusivity’ a lot of craft drinkers seem to be looking for.
Even back in the heyday of adjunct lagers most successful brands tended to be regional. A consolidator like G. Heileman tried buying up as many as possible and the brands just faded away.
Ballast Point can’t complete in MI vs. Bells, Founders, Shorts. They just dropped their six pack prices here from $14 on average to $10 to try to pry away some of the Two-Hearted and Huma market.
The price drop was nationwide, as people weren’t buying Sculpin at $15 a pack. Bells is still independent. Founders is partially owned by the Spanish company that also owns a majority of Avery (and Founders beer is starting to be brewed there due to extra capacity), and the owners may have started exerting some control over the names and such. Founders just announced they’re changing the name PC Pils to just Founder’s Pilsener (based on the story I was told about the PC Pils name, the name is anything but Politically Correct). Shorts is owned by Lagunitas, which is owned by Heineken. I do have to laugh that they still have the same motto on their packaging (Michigan only) even after they expanded distribution to Ohio.
Yeah. People here are still red assed about the Michigan only motto. I don’t give a rat’s ass. Their still my favorite here in state.
Have you had any Keweenaw Brewing Company? Last summer we went to the Keweenaw and I really enjoyed KBC.
Yes! I love their Widow Maker black ale. Good stuff.
Their beautiful ladies can artwork is some fun schtick, too. My favorite is the red head….Copper Lager, I think? The Widow Maker is holding a pneumatic mining drill, right? (both are good beers, too!)
Huh…our internet nanny doesn’t block their site. Red Jack Amber Ale is what I was thinking of.
Name changes are funny.
I thought Goose Island’s brown went downhill when they changed the name away from Hexnut Brown. That was well before the AB purchase.
Hexnut was a great beer, after it was just good. I am convinced they changed the recipe at the same time.
That’s fairly standard with every consumer good. A packaging change is a signal for a formula change – helps the people stocking the shelves get the “old, not-testing-well formula” off the shelves.
Founder’s Solid Gold is a pretty good lawnmowing beer, and they priced it to compete with miller and bud. I hadn’t heard they were changing PC Pils (I never liked the name).
Speaking of names, here is an old story about Old Nation using a ‘neural network” to come up with Fine Stranger.
Solid Gold is a good lawnmower beer. I usually buy a few 15 packs of it over the summer.
It’s a beer that’s unreeling, to fit the way that you’re feeling?
Pumpkin beer? I’d be embarrassed to say that’s what ruined me. Sounds like a parody evil villain.

Have some po’faced befuddlement from CNN
Even as the President is bringing some former staffers back into the fold now the investigation is over, he is lashing out at others who helped Mueller piece together a deeply unflattering portrait of his administration. Just as the report depicts, Trump remains fixated on personal loyalty and is not prepared to forget which of his former aides said what.
Instead of letting his grievances go, Trump is latching onto the report as an attack on his presidency, according to people who have spoken with him.
———-
In the last 48 hours — which included defiance of subpoenas to White House officials and the threat of the Trump administration fighting the subpoena for former White House counsel Don McGhan — Rep. Gerry Connolly, a member of the House Oversight Committee, said the whole landscape has changed, claiming Trump was “pushing” Democrats toward impeachment.
Connolly said there is a sense that Trump’s administration may not cooperate at all no matter the subject.
“I think we are now in the midst of a constitutional crisis,” he told CNN in an interview Wednesday.
“How did we get here? I have no idea.”
Letting the days go by, letting the water hold me down.
“I think we are now in the midst of a constitutional crisis,” he told CNN in an interview Wednesday.
Yep, but probably not for the reasons you’re implying.
Matt Taibbi explains that they will learn nothing.
He should clue in his editors at Rolling Stone. They are all-in on impeachment, other than this article from Taibbi.
They have decided that since nutcases in libertarian circles and Trump supporters have been claiming that the Obama administration’s behavior in this matter is much worse than Nixon in Watergate, they have to put that off on Trump. So now they have a bunch of articles saying Trump’s behavior post Mueller report is much worse than Nixon and Watergate.. so full speed ahead on Impeachment. In fact, they assert that the Democrats are just playing politics by *not* impeaching Trump. Go figure…
Yes, Trump is the one who can’t let things go.
in the midst of a constitutional crisis
How? Constitutionally, the president can be impeached for essentially any reason. That doesn’t mean that the Senate will vote to remove him. But the system will still work, Constitutionally speaking.
No, you don’t get it! Trump isn’t going to cooperate with an impeachment!! That’s a constitutional crisis!!!
HRC had an editorial in the Post arguing that the “right thing to do” is follow the Nixon model and have a bunch of hearings and then force Trump to resign in disgrace before the impeachment happens.
Whelp that’s that. See you guys tomorrow morning. Have much safe and many profit today!

“This is a massive, unprecedented, and growing pattern of obstruction. Yesterday, President Trump declared to the entire country that he would obstruct Congress and order all White House officials to defy lawful subpoenas from Congress. Today, the Trump administration went even further by expanding this policy to employees at federal agencies — even when the subpoenas are bipartisan and supported by Republican Members of Congress,” Cummings wrote in a statement.
How many of those subpoenas even relate to actions taken by the Trump administration as part of the execution of their official duties?
They want to interview the White House Counsel about discussions with the president about executive decisions.
Yeah, that’s right dead-center in the middle of executive privilege.
And they want his personal tax records. Because reasons. Also way, way, way over the line.
Cummings has always been a race-baiting, partisan hack, fully owned by the DNC establishment. Just because he’s one of the best of the acolytes, don’t mistake that for being good.
Bad news for Leap.
In a depressing (but not unexpected) turn of events, the Minneapolis Police Union had defied the mayor and will continue with ‘Warrior’ training.
WTF is up with police unions? They make the most goon-like looking fucker their spokesman. They decide that the perfect time to insist that it is their doG given right to engage in training that makes them trigger happy pussies in the middle of a trial where one of their own shot a harmless woman in the safest neighborhood in the city. Do any of the rank and file think about the optics of this shit?
I wouldn’t want to get pulled over by that guy, looks like a Cro-Magnon with a crew cut.
He’s always stepping on rakes too. He does stupid shit like offers to buy a steak dinner for the cop that finds who tagged the union’s HQ. This is both a violation of department policy and, you know, a crime.
You know the Cro-Magnon was a modern human, right?
Sure, I was just testing everyone. Yeah, that’s the ticket.
They don’t have to.
JFC. I’m out of anything to say. “We don’t care because we don’t have to” seems to be their motto. The city counsel should pass an ordinance that any officer that takes warrior training is explicitly denied qualified immunity. I don’t know if it would stand, since QI is totally a figment of the Judiciary’s imagination, but the scum that does that in violation of their democratic lawmakers should bear the full brunt of their choices.
“We have adopted this new policy because proper training on use of force and de-escalation is of paramount importance,” he said in a statement. “Officers found to pursue any training that conflicts with MPD’s training and has not been preapproved will be subject to discipline.”
I can’t argue with this. If these guys are going out on their own and being trained to do things that are against their department’s training, or state/local laws, I think that’s a big problem.
Arrest the union’s leadership for criminal conspiracy and fire them on the spot for insubordination.

Interesting (old) article about the impact of Dick Durbin on debit cards
Sheila Bair, former chair of the FDIC, wants to fix the student debt crisis — and she thinks Democratic presidential hopeful Elizabeth Warren has some “bold ” ideas that may work.
Warren, a Massachusetts Democratic senator, announced her plan to wipe out student debt and public college tuition earlier this week.
“I have some different ideas on this but … she’s got something bold, dramatic, she pays for it and she’s tackling a core problem,” Bair said Wednesday on “The Exchange. ”
“This debt overhang we have now is a big drag on the economy,” Bair added.
———
While some may disagree with the idea of a wealth tax, Bair said at least Warren is trying to fix the problem in a “fiscally responsible way. ”
Bair, a member of the CNBC Financial Wellness Advisory Council and former president of Washington College, has her own ideas on how to address student loan debt.
She would restructure the system so students don’t have any debt. Instead, Bair proposes an income share that would see a financier and student singing a contract that has the student pay a certain percentage of his or her income over a certain period of time, subject to a cap. She has called the percentage “affordable” and said it would only kick in once the now-graduated student has a “decent” income.”
Indentured servitude. Sounds legit.
“Some may disagree” with a wealth tax, but they’re stupid.
Forward, Comrades! Our glorious collectivist future awaits!
“Bold” “dramatic” = MSM euphemisms for an idiotic idea by a Democrat.
So bold and dramatic to suggest taxing and spending as the solution to a problem.
“Bold.” Right. Now if Warren personally went out and forcefully shook down people, highwayman style, that’d be bold. It’d still be as immoral as using taxes to achieve her ends, but I’d respect her cajones.

Fewer overpaid, useless State employee leeches… seems like a win.
Yeah, but then there’s this:
Yeah, that would be 20 years past the “we should have moved off this system” date.
Lacking credibility indeed:
“Ballinger, Flanagin and Helm – Bankston’s clients – would have refused the LSU job offer had they known about the Louisiana law, which required all the vehicles they own to be registered in this state, he said. That would include the vehicles their families continued to use at their homes in Illinois.”
So they interpret state law as saying if you work for a state entity, all of your vehicles must be registered in the state and have state plates and you have to have a Louisiana Driver’s license.
The university seems to be a bunch of dicks… they asked them to switch from employees to contractors to get around it, then terminated the contract when the whole thing became public and broke promises to keep to the original employment agreement, trying to claw back moving expenses because they didn’t stay for two years.
I’m still not sure why registering their car in LA was a no-go for these 4. It doesn’t seem that hard. Just put the one back home in the wife’s name.
Does LA allow non-residents to obtain driver’s licenses? Does the interstate compact allow multiple valid driver’s licenses to be issued? There’s a bunch of constitutional violations there.
Ballinger, Flanagin and Helm – Bankston’s clients – would have refused the LSU job offer had they known about the Louisiana law
Hah hah. That is shot down under the BS convenience of the employer theory that NY and other states use to tax out of state non-residents.

Moved into new apartment with Lady yesterday. She had her first day of work today. I got confirmation that I’m going to start my gig May 2. i HAVE A JOB!!!
The neighborhood is just lovely. Tons of local restaurants with chefs doing their own thing and English is all around. Even children. Korea is hands-down the worst English-speaking nation I’ve been to.
I finally have a home for the first time in four months. New shit is certainly stressful, but a big chunk of that was stripped away in the last 24 hours. Be jealous of your home, life and wife/partner. When that stability disappears it’s striking. I’m a youngin’ so y’all know this better than me. Looks like I’ve got a full week to be a homebody and get the apartment ready for Lady when she comes home each day. It is hot as balls, but way better than Singaporean heat.
Thanks everyone for well-wishes. Other than Lady, this is my only family. Lots of time spent in my head.
I turn 32 on April 28 so we have to update what an Evan-Age is.
With a gig and an apartment and Lady, in a beautiful neighborhood, I feel at home for the first time in a long while. Deep exhale and time to get to work.

Historical Society of Minnesoda is squealing because mean GOPers are threatening to slash their budget. They claim it is retribution for putting up signs at Fort Snelling (very important Hysterical Site in MN) that added the Dakota word “Bdote” (which they claim is the word the Sioux used for the confluence of the Mississippi and Minnesoda rivers).
The recent trend to try to use Dakota words for everything is tiresome. And I can see the GOP’s point. If you have enough money to start putting up new signage just for cool SJW cache, maybe you have too big a budget.

“Kuwaiti academic claims gay men have an ‘anal worm’ that ‘feeds on semen’
Mariam Al-Sohel argued the anal worm makes gay men attracted to other men
An academic in Kuwait has claimed she has a ‘cure’ for homosexuality saying gay men have an ‘anal worm’ that ‘feeds on semen’. Mariam Al-Sohel claimed on Scope TV that she believes there are four genders – male, female, feminine gay men and butch lesbians – and she explained how she has found a cure for being gay based on Islamic prophecy. She said: “I discovered therapeutic suppositories that curb the sexual urges of boys of the third gender. “As well as the fourth gender, which is butch lesbians. This is all science, so there’s nothing to be ashamed of. “The sexual urge develops when a person is sexually attacked. And afterwards it persists because there is an anal worm that feeds on semen. It feeds on sperm. “So, what I did was to produce suppositories, which are to be used by certain people at a certain time. It cures those urges by exterminating the worm that feeds on the sperm.”
According to the academic, the two suppositories are for feminine gay men and butch lesbians. Both pills have the exact same ingredients but are in different colours.
To further her ridiculous argument, Al-Sohel also argued that bitter foods help feminine gay men increase masculinity and build muscle. She continued: “Any food that is buried underground provides men with stability, strengthens their muscles and increases their masculinity. Bitter foods increase masculinity.””

“Feminist Cafe That Charged 18% ‘Man Tax’ Goes Out of Business
“The man tax blew up the internet, an idea that we didn’t think was all too radical, yet the way the world responded showed us how fragile masculinity is.”
A feminist-owned and operated cafe that made headlines around the world after introducing an 18% “man tax” on male customers will be closing its doors at the end of the month.
Handsome Her, a vegan establishment located in Melbourne, Australia, will be going out of business on April 28, according to an announcement on its website.”
https://pluralist.com/handsome-her-cafe-man-tax-closes/
When you alienate 50% of your potential consumer base, bad things happen.
If she hates men so much, then why does she look like one?
Actually, I think it demonstrates how fragile radical feminism is; not only do you think you have to depend on men to provide more money but you blame them for not propping up your awful business decisions.
Here is a link to their Trip Advisor page. A consistent theme seems to be poor service from waitstaff with bad personal hygiene. I guess they felt like pleasing customers and not smelling badly were just tools of patriarchal oppression.
Wow. I guess you can either open a business in order to be successful at it or you can open a business to make some sort of point to make yourself feel important and have a giggle, but you can’t do both.
My wife, who eats all this stupid social justice shit up, told me about this place she went to in Baltimore while she was there for a meeting. It was a cafe of some kind that was vegan and like had some gimmick where they itemized some fee on your check to “provide a living wage” for the people who worked there. So, right off the bat she was pissed off that they charged her what basically was a tip. Then she said that the food sucked, the service was absolute shit, and when she complained that the iced tea she got (which they poured from a funky looking jug stuck in the back of a refrigerator) tasted stale, the person behind the counter just shrugged and said, “Yeah, I don’t know when they made that.” Also, everybody smelled, because apparently social justice and deodorant don’t mix.
These granola places must be a nightmare to run.
the way the world responded showed us how fragile masculinity is
No. It showed that the masculine thing is to be frugal. (and to avoid being ripped off.)
To be honest, I bet they could have collected some real loot if they would have created an Ally Board. To get your name listed as an Ally of Women, you’d have to pledge to do two things 1) Send them at least $20/month and 2) promise never to show up at the cafe and intrude into their safe space.
I bet there would be a lot of betas out there who would love to virtue signal by being an official Ally. Or at least their girlfriends would make them.
So, fifth paragraph we get to nut graph.

I’d just like to point out that not everyone who was in the military, or even in a war, has so much as left an air conditioned office during their service. And there are plenty of really shitty people who also happen to have been in combat and even done things that most people would consider brave, even heroic.
You mean people are complex and don’t fit into neat categories based on their job? Say it isn’t so!

Pointing a deadly weapon at someone, something you have more experience than most with, isn’t a oh well, say you’re sorry when you calm down act. And special veteran’s courts are a BS mockery of what the criminal justice system is supposed to be. How does his service 15+ years ago entitle him to special treatment now?
OT: I’ve about had it with my current job. It’s a dead-end position, not professionally fulfilling in any way, does not pay well, and while there are some attractive benefits it’s also the kind of place where my manager brags about how flexible he is and then gives me shit for using PTO. In other words, I’m in the market. I know there was someone around here who was looking for a full-remote job and mentioned a site or two that specialized in those kind of gigs. If that’s you, would you mind telling me what they are?
I think it was TOK.
I’m in the same position as you right now. Our company is failing to keep up with our competitors and we keep losing customers and employees. We are constantly jumping from project to project without finishing things because we’re trying to keep the remaining customers happy, but we don’t have enough employees to do the work. It is exhausting.
I’ve found it pretty difficult to find remote jobs, but they are out there. I’ve used Indeed, but if you use “remote” as a search term, you will get a lot of “not available for remote” listings, so just be aware of that. I’ve had some success with my LinkedIn account. That has a setting stating that you are actively looking for work and want to hear from recruiters. You will get even more responses if you upgrade to their premium tier. Right now I’m checking WeWorkRemotely daily, those are 100% remote jobs so that makes it a little easier.
Try “work from home” in the location box.
That helped, thanks!
No prob, I feel like I’m in a similar spot wrt a failing company and have been looking more than in the past. Remote job would mostly be ideal for now, but ultimately I think I need to get out of proglandia as much as it breaks my heart to do so.
Shit, y’all hiring? I’ve got the opposite problem. We’ve got two developers and just hired two new people, a UX Researcher and a Content Specialist, and in the past year the sum total of our projects was basically making templates for an old CMS for one website. We beg for actual development projects while our manager, the “Senior Web Developer”, spends most of his time convincing people from the rest of the organization who come to him why we should not actually make any web anything for them. So then, shockingly, they use their chunky Fed budgets to hire contractors. Then our manager complains that nobody comes to us for web stuff even though we’re the “official” web people.
Anyway, I’m at a point where I need to find something else. I need more money and I need to not be micromanaged. I’ve thought about trying to start my own business, but I really need the insurance and the stability.
Our company is small (12 people), and 1/3 are directly related to the owner. So there is incentive to keep things the way they are so those relatives don’t lose their job. My boss (the owner) is also a major micro manager. She comes by a good 10-12 times a day to have me look at something, ask a question, or just change my priority. It’s not unusual for me to work on something that is a super high priority, and the next day come in to see it slip to #9 on my priority list. But I am still responsible for getting these projects done.
I was self-employed about 20 years ago. I did web development and programming. It had its own stresses, but I loved the freedom. I’m also considering starting a business, but I too have a family and need the insurance and stability. I also looked into freelancing, but then you are competing with people in India and China who are charging $5 an hour.
My company seems to have no issue laying off developers and then off-shoring the work. They tend to keep the employees around that have business analytical knowledge because the off-shored developers don’t have that, but they just shitcanned the product I worked on for 20 years so the fill-in work I do at the company seems somewhat tenuous.
My boss was the web everything until he hired me, and he doesn’t have a background in development or management. So what happens is he kind of hangs out at a high level asking people if things are done and then sometimes swoops in to get deeply involved in whatever you’re doing for about twenty minutes before he sees to many semi-colons and gets scared off. He doesn’t want to be involved and can’t run a project to save his life, but he also doesn’t want to not be in direct control of everything that’s going on. It’s really, really frustrating.
I did freelancing for a little while myself, but like you say you can’t compete. Around here in particular it’s damn near impossible because so much of the IT stuff is government or government contractors; the former are mostly interested in working only with the latter because of the GSA requirements, and the latter either have a staff of codemonkeys or are content to throw money at those $5 Pakistanis knowing they’ll get absolute shit in return but not caring as long as it resembles something finished.
Tried finding work in the immediate area but there’s not much available. That might wind up being a side-gig at best, maybe enough to pay my bar tab, but not much else.
Pretty sure E from E had a remote gig, at least part time.
Also forgot to mention, Amazon has their own remote jobs section. Go to Jobs.Amazon.com, and click the Remote link.
I’m in the job market – in round 2 of interviews with 2 different financial services firms.
I am getting a ton of recruiters asking me if I am “Agile” or “Scrum” certified. Seems to be all the rage these days and may of them are remote positions. I’m halfway through a free online Scrum course. It’s okay – I can’t really get past the assumption that everyone on the team is 100% full time on the team and I’m not really interested in doing software development projects.
Scrum was fine when I was a developer, but you’re right that it targets completing one big project.
I’m working on a presentation for adapting agile to a legal department. Basically, track everything on Trello, clean up the SharePoint, and stop inviting the entire team to meetings that only impact 2 people.
Agile/scrum was created by the construction industry. Applying it to other things seems like something the big accounting firms would pass off as a methodology for anything else.
Thanks for the reminder, need to add my scrum cert to my resume.
I totally forgot about that (shows how much I use it – not sure why work gots us all trained and then doesnt let us do it).
Did they ask if you had a cyborg endorsement for you Agile certification?
After I read that Taibbi piece at Rolling Stone, I found this one.
I don’t mean to make too much light of this sound and fury, as this matter could not be more serious. Amid the black lines of its redactions, Mueller’s report details how a hostile foreign nation successfully used the current President of the United States as a vessel to achieve its aims of undermining American democracy, deploying its information warfare and illegal interference schemes to help him get where he is now. In the second volume of his 448-page report, Mueller details at least 10 instances of the president’s obstruction of justice, including Trump’s firing of FBI director James Comey and his frequent, colicky outbursts about the Special Counsel’s investigation. It all illustrated that Barr plainly lied when he cleared Trump of any such behavior.
IMPEACH BAD ORANGE MAN! IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH!
I’d like to think these people will all die en masse from apoplexy when Trump wins re-election.
successfully used the current President of the United States as a vessel to achieve its aims of undermining American democracy
By coopting an eager media and opposition party to run innuendo as fact and beclown themselves? Remind me who it was who credulously injected Russian disinformation into the American mainstream?
They could form a doomsday cult, replete with Kool Aid.
including…colicky outbursts about the Special Counsel’s investigation
This makes no sense at all. It’s saying that objecting to being investigated is obstruction of justice.
Something I learned, a couple of night ago: Amazon has the original Outer Limits teevee series available.
That show scared the bejeezis out of me when I was a kid. I’m almost afraid to watch it, now.
I think they both have the full run of the original Twilight Zone as well.
Change both to all (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon).
I rewatched these a year or two ago. Mixed bag- some are ridiculous, some are excellent. The one with Robert Culp and the fingers fell into the latter category. Ditto the one where the two aliens (one of which was Carroll O’Conner) analyze a murder.

#1 cause of domestic violence is keeping a woman in the house. They lead to more suicides and present a unique and wholly preventable threat for children in the home. She’s more likely to be used against you than anyone else. If you absolutely must keep one around, make sure she’s locked in a cabinet when unattended.
