Middle of the week. Haven’t seen my kids in 4 days, and not really missing them yet. I also fixed an ice maker, glued a lamp back together, and moved some furniture. Other than having biscuits of failure for breakfast, life has been good.

Just for fun, here is the current Wikipedia entry on Mueller’s testimony today (written before he testified):
Yeah, I would say it didn’t go as planned.
As I’ve seen several people snickering about – the Dems rehearsed this with Mueller. This was their practiced performance. Can’t imagine how much more embarassing it would have been if he went in cold.
“Democrats believe most Americans have not read the report”
I doubt most Congressmen have read the report.
I doubt Mueller has read the report.
Apparently, neither did Mueller.
Dude really appeared to be unaware that the Steele Dossier was prepared using information from Russian sources by a British intelligence agent at the direction of the DNC and Hillary Clinton campaign.
If you are investigating “Russian interference in the election” and your first and second pieces of evidence against Trump are both related directly to Fusion GPS and the HRC campaign, you’d think that this information would be higher on your list of priorities.
Most infuriating answer was to the issue of Fusion GPS and the Russian lawyer at the infamous Trump Tower meeting. When asked, he said “not in my purview”. Really? The HRC campaign paying millions to an intermediary company that is working with the Russian attorney is not in your purview, but taking a 15 minute meeting and having nothing come of it is worthy of a $35 million investigation.

Daily Beast inexplicably attacks Mariano Rivera. And the comments are splendid. Not unlike the Politifact debacle, the people are having none of it.

I’m not one to say liberalism is a mental disorder but it’s a mental disorder. Or at least inhabited by immature, miserable cunts.
They’re good at pissing all over people’s achievements, and celebratory events. That’s what miserable shit heads do. They take a good moment and point out ‘it sucks!’
It’s hilarious that the jackass who wrote it tries to tie him to Trump because Trump named him to one of those do-nothing Presidential fitness councils.
Mo is a devout Christian and likes Israel. Oh, the horror of it all.
I bet you he’s a smart-alec about it. Oh wait….
“Perhaps, then, that’s partly the reason why very few reporters have questioned Rivera about his pro-Israel advocacy. Little in-depth coverage of Rivera and Israel exists outside of the Israeli media and a few right-wing blogs. It certainly won’t be mentioned in the run-up to his Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Why would it? His status as a universally-beloved Yankee means a reporter would have to risk running afoul of not just an editor or two, but gobs of angry readers.
According to Bryant, “No one wants to touch it because they know the price.”
Got that?
Smug, passive-aggressive pricks.
Howard Bryant sucks, even for an ESPN writer.
Why would anyone other than far-left shitheels give a damn about Mariano Rivera’s affinity for Israel?
They really liken themselves as social warriors.
Meanwhile the derelict assholes completely ignored the steroid scandal. They knew it was happening and did shit about it.
Because they’re cowards. They were all protecting their little ‘access passes’.
Wilbon and his screeds against blogs. Meanwhile it was the blogs who got it right and two investigative journalists.
ESPN sucks goat dick.
You know who else had an underdocumented thing going on with the Jews?

Torqumada?
Beyond Rivera’s pro-Israel activism, even though he’s never publicly given his endorsement, the Hall of Famer’s actions make it clear his sympathies lie with the Trump administration, which has backed all manner of far-right policies when it comes to Israel. In 2018, Rivera was nominated for the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition. A month later, Rivera appeared at the White House for a friendly photo op, and in March, he was part of the delegation sent to the opening of the Special Olympics.
Literally Hitler.
which has backed all manner of far-right policies when it comes to Israel
Trump has a solution for the Jews? Or are we acknowledging that collectivist, murderous ideologies such as nazism are left-wing?
What a sad sad man.
That’s stupid even for Twitter.
In the interview with local media, Arnold said that O’Mara, an independent MP, was “not wanting to do the job. I think if anything he would be happier if the constituents didn’t exist.”
Who are we talking about, again? That bint from Queens?
Uffda. A running back and his money are soon parted.
Despite making $99M in his career, Adrian Peterson is now broke and being sued by everyone. How will AP be able to afford switches or b-day camels?
These stories just make me sad and angry. These guys make so much money, that with even a low-level of discipline their grandchild ought to be set for life. Yet somehow* they end up broke before they turn 35.
* I know its a combo of getting fleeced, ostentatious purchasing, divorced, making child support/hush money payments and generally stupid investment decisions, but damn why does this happen over and over and over.
You can’t fix stupid.
They can’t handle money and do not realize that their playing days won’t last forever?
Poor is a state of mind.
At least in this case AP is an asshole, so it couldn’t have happened to a more deserving person.
Don’t forget having a shit ton of babies with different women. When you have 7 kids by different women, it tends to add up.
Think how pissed those women are. They were supposed to rake in the child support for 18 years and now they might get nothing?
$15 min wage will fix this.
The same reason state lottery (better described as a tax on stupidity) winners frequently end up broke after a few years.
When you work, earn money, work hard and build a fortune by the sweat of your brow, along with the money comes the discipline it took to assemble that fortune. It’s not hard to become a millionaire; you just have to devote a hundred hours or so a week to it.
But sportsball jocks and lottery winners generally don’t have that kind of discipline – especially lottery winners. They do stupid things, blow their wads on hookers and blow, get sucked into stupid investment schemes, and just generally act like assholes. And then they end up broke.
Hookers and blow are bad investments?
Moderation in all things.
“I spent a lot of money on booze, birds, and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.”
― George Best
It’s not hard to become a millionaire; you just have to devote a hundred hours or so a week to it.
These days you just have to work 40 hours per week, save 15% in your retirement accounts, and avoid getting into massive debt. If you start that in your 20s, youll retire a multimillionaire.
ESPN made a pretty great documentary on the subject for their 30 for 30 series called “Broke”. Highly recommended if you haven’t seen it.
Still a piker compared to Allen Iverson, who managed to become broke within a year of his retirement despite over $200 million in salary.
AI is certainly the most egregious. 7-5-7 represented poorly.
One of the more unsympathetic figures in sports whose only redeeming qualities were on the court.
Seriously.
His takes on practice is all you need to know about his outlook.
Not a game, not a game, but practice.
That one was breath taking. Every team should sit their players down annually and say “take a look at this guy.”
Yeah… that takes real effort.
Blowing through a couple million is one thing.. That’s pretty easy, even though you could live pretty well for a decade on a million bucks.
But a hundred million? You have to work at it to blow through that. Even buying hookers and blow won’t put a dent in that kind of money. You have to do crazy stuff like leasing private jets, huge yachts, and really, really crappy direct investments in “business opportunities”. To do it in a year or two? Well, I would have put that down as impossible.
I used to work with investment bankers that had billions to invest. They’d have a team of a dozen guys tasked with finding somewhere to put 10 billion bucks. It was literally a full time job for a whole team just looking for investments.
If Iverson had just put half of his earnings in mutual funds he’d have more money than you could spend.
He needs to whip his finances into shape.
Hmm…how about, he needs to switch financial advisers…
Perhaps he can get Mike Tyson’s financial advisor Deezy.

The arc of justice is a little too slow for my taste, but I am pretty sure this administration of chaos and greed will be put to rest. I was impressed by our Democratic Leaders in the hearings. All of them. Mueller too.
/catoon head shake.
What PLANET do these people live on? Do they see the sky as blue or some other color?
What, you mean you weren’t impressed with a bunch of Donks reading from the report and then asking “Was this in your report?”
Swallowswell making sure to mention that he’s on the Intelligence Committee was amusing.
He was a complete asshole.
Scruffy, with that douchebag, not being an asshole would be the surprising thing.
Ona YouTube livestream, they were talking about him saying Trump “was a double digit obstructor”. My comment was Trump must have had a couple fingers up Swallwell’s ass.
Yea, sure…
As expected, Swalwell’s questions were the most outrageous. He hounded Mueller on Russian collusion and completely unsupported allegations of witness tampering by offering pardons.
Look, everybody- I’m a thumbsucking moron!
For years, I counted this inability to drive as one of many personal failures. More recently, I’ve wondered whether I performed an accidental kindness for the world. I am one of those Darth Vader pedestrians who loudly tailgate couples moving slowly up the sidewalk, and I’m sure that I would be a twit behind the wheel. Perhaps I was protected from a bad move by my own incompetence—one of those mercies which the universe often bestows on the young (who rarely appreciate the gift). In America today, there are more cars than drivers. Yet our investment in these vehicles has yielded dubious returns. Since 1899, more than 3.6 million people have died in traffic accidents in the United States, and more than eighty million have been injured; pedestrian fatalities have risen in the past few years. The road has emerged as the setting for our most violent illustrations of systemic racism, combustion engines have helped create a climate crisis, and the quest for oil has led our soldiers into war.
Every technology has costs, but lately we’ve had reason to question even cars’ putative benefits. Free men and women on the open road have turned out to be such disastrous drivers that carmakers are developing computers to replace them. When the people of the future look back at our century of auto life, will they regard it as a useful stage of forward motion or as a wrong turn? Is it possible that, a hundred years from now, the age of gassing up and driving will be seen as just a cul-de-sac in transportation history, a trip we never should have taken?
We never should have come down out of that tree. Think how happy we’d all be right now.
Some of us say that even the trees had been a bad move, and that no-one should ever have left the oceans.
+42
He didn’t even mention the absolute worst effect of automobiles, that the horse buggy industry was put out of business. We need buggy bailouts.
Ook ook.
No man, I think you’d get your ass kicked for saying something like that man….
I lived without a car for a few years when I lived in Europe where the public transportation is supposed to be wonderful. Getting a car was life changing. Mobility is freedom, which I guess is why so many progs dislike cars.
Mobility is freedom, which is why so many progs dislike cars for other people.
Look, if you can’t afford to pay your driver a living wage, you shouldn’t even have a car.
Huh. Couldn’t find the party affiliation of that Puerto Rican governor in the article, that’s weird. Let’s just Google his name, should be right I that little bio section they have. .. huh, not there either. Weird, must be a democrat.
Libertarian. You know we run everything
The political parties in Puerto Rico don’t quite correspond to the political parties on the mainland.
They don’t have D and R in Puerto Rico. He is a member of the New Progressive Party.
In national/mainland politics, members are split, with some party members affiliating with the Republican Party and some with the Democratic Party.
Hard to believe a different governor in PR is going to have a different outcome.

What an idiot.
I take a very dim view of con artists like that. They usually prey on the elderly and infirm, but the professor appears to be mind-bendingly, staggeringly naive (uber-liberal Harvard prof, go figure). Bullets are usually the only way to deter them as they tend to be familiar with the legal process and will use it against their targets.
That, and broken.
The dude is divorced, but living with his ex. He’s broken.
I’ve been through it. If you were not the one who wanted a divorce, it takes at least two years to become a human being again. Dude kept the wound open by living with the Ex. He was easy prey.
I was warned by several friends when I went through my divorce. I know three guys who lost all judgement after their divorce and stuck it in crazy, with the end result being a kid with a crazy lady out of rebound sex. I was warned repeatedly that you will not be able to make good judgements about relationships for at least a year, so avoid dating for at least a year.
I’ve passed this advice along over the years and have universally been thanked as people recognized the truth of the warning.
I read that. Is this what they mean when they say “Only an intellectual could be that stupid?” Seriously, I would have trouble imagining a person of average intelligence buying that nonsense, and this guy was a Harvard Law prof??
Yep, a prof who thinks he knows how your life should be ruled by the government.

Perhaps we can play “count the number of logical fallacies” in this piece: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/49089209
The UK anti-racism organization called Kick It Out has just published its report for the 2018-19 season, noting there was an increase in reports of racist abuse by players. The chief of the organization has linked it to Brexit saying, “I think you can’t not link them together…We’re seeing a lot of reports of ‘go back to where you came from’ which we haven’t seen for a while which seems to be on the back of Brexit.” So, that’s correlation without causation.
Halfway through the article, the BBC notes, “It is the seventh consecutive year reported incidents of discrimination within football have increased, and the 581 total reports is more than double the figure from five years ago.” So, that means reports have been increasing since the 2012-2013 season. The Brexit referendum was June, 2016, with the announcement of the vote in 2015. Although, TBF, David Cameron conceded to a vote in January, 2013. So, even taking that date, it means that the actual political promise to hold a vote, caused racism in football to increase.
But wait, how long has KIO been keeping stats? Glad you asked: according to their website since 2013-14 (six years).
So, reports of racism in football have been increasing and I see no reason to doubt that. But, we’re going to link it to Brexit because…?
Yawn. I’ve been “racially abused” multiple times in my life, and I didn’t go looking for some bureaucrat to report it to. This is the same thing as the fake “rape crisis” – move the goalposts, jigger the numbers to match your preconceptions, and then cry wolf.
Perhaps we can play “count the number of logical fallacies” in this piece:
*begins counting, runs out of fingers, takes off shoes, runs out of toes, unzips . . . .*

The Takeout’s fantasy food draft: Best supermarket beer
RD1: Negra Modelo/Guinness Extra Stout, PBR
RD2: Sam Adams Boston, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Bell’s Two Hearted
RD3: Miller Lite/Miller High Life/Goose Island 312 UW
RD4: Shiner Bock/New Belgium Fat Tire/Blue Moon
RD5: Guiness Stout/Stiegl Radler/Corona
I haven’t even heard of a few of these.
I only wish I could find Stiegl Radler in the supermarket consistently.
That’s one I have never heard of, in addition to Bell’s and Goose Island (maybe heard of it, I am picturing a bottle with a goose on it).
Is Yuengling nationwide? That seems like a big supermarket omission.
IIRC Yuengling isn’t quite national, although pretty widely available.
Stiegl is Austrian brewery that makes a very refreshing grapefruit radler. I love it but can only find it occasionally.
And damn fine lager and hefeweizen. But better in Austria than here. The cans seem to have a bit of a metallic taste.
They make a lemon radler as well.
Corona is the most god awful beer ever. Unless you like the taste of paper.
Meh, it tastes like piss without a lime but is drinkable with one. I won’t ever order one but I’ll drink it if handed to me.
That’s because the Mexicans pee in the bottles.
Corona light is even worse.
I’m not snobbish enough to thumb my nose at adjuncts, but if they’re going to use corn at least remove the husks first.
I’ve got a buddy who really, really likes the Coronitas (the small bottles of Corona). Just to mess with him, I always refer to them as “gay Coronas.”
Can’t stand that beer, but I keep a few “gay Coronas” around for when he comes over.
Really like Negro Modelo.
Yep. Reliable as all get-out, and I can get it all over Edmonton. Couldn’t find it in most places in the Lower Rainland™ to save my life (same problem with Grimbergen, which I found at a little hole-in-the-wall booze shop near my house).
God Bless Alberta.
Wut.

I can assure Wasserman that, residing in one of said destinations, my vote for Trump will also not matter.
But is Wasserman positive?
Just write her a perscription for mercury and move on.
He seems to be advocating for them to spread the rot to the unwashed masses in flyover country.
Here’s a question – given that the Dems rehearsed today’s fiasco, they knew what they were going to get out of it, i.e. jack shit. So why did they push so hard to get this hearing and have Mueller testify? What did they expect to gain from this?
They wanted him to say “I was told to water down the report and not advise prosecution” so they could keep their narrative alive and perhaps distract from Cortez and company.
But they must have known he wasn’t going to say that.
But they also knew most people won’t watch the actual testimony, and their spin doctors will get them something out of it.
You’d think they would know better. But no doubt some of them were hoping he’d say “Trump is a criminal, mentally ill, and unfit for office, and no one actually voted for him, it was all Russians changing the ballots over the internet. Take him away!” And then a team of military police would handcuff Trump and drag him out by his hair. “And now, let me introduce the true President of the United States from this moment forward, Hillary Clinton!” And then Hillary would walk in on a path of rose petals, being fanned by palm fronds and serenaded by a choir of angels, as a heavenly beam of light encircled her and filled all the people with joy.
Or something like that.
I think this is literally what they were conditioned to believe was going to happen.
“Any minute now….any…..minute….any….min…..an…..”
And then the lash out of discontent.
All they wanted was the media focus for their soundbytes. Mueller provided that in spades.
My impression was that they practiced their *questions* with some kind of Mueller stand in, not Mueller himself. So you know they practiced with the Fantasy Version who did some kind of Perry Mason thing at the end to rile them up.
Besides, none of this was for them to get information – it was only to get “she persisted” clips of themselves for their re-election campaigns.
Yeah, the press was salivating today. Every single question was trial ballooned as the “Mueller says we have to impeach that criminal” moment. And every one fell flat.
But CNN says that the Republicans were using their “Trump is above the law” strategy all day. So that explains everything….

Clown world.
Clown.

Also not in his purview…. any “collusion” or “conspiracy” that involved any other campaign. Even though the two key pieces of evidence against Trump (Dossier and Trump Tower meeting) much more directly implicate Clinton.
*** for those not playing the home version of the game, the Trump Tower meeting was 15 minutes with a “Russian Attorney” who offered dirt on Clinton. This was touted by everyone as proof of a conspiracy. Every democrat has said that simply saying he was interested in the information was proof of treason. Meanwhile…. The exact same person worked with Fusion GPS for years. Including during the Steele Dossier period. And Clinton didn’t say “I’m interested”. She forked over millions for the dirt. So did the DNC.
But Mueller actually said “not in my purview” when asked. Idiot didn’t follow up though. Appropriate question was “Exactly how is direct and irrefutable evidence that the Clinton campaign and the DNC were working with the Russians to produce dirt on Trump not within the purview of an investigation into Russian interference in the election?”

Please let us know if it continues to work well. They look like good gamer machines (also good for anyone needing higher end video capability). Also looks like they don’t deal with China (PRC), since they feature a couple awards from Taiwan on their “Brand Story” link. Thx for the tip.
Definitely. My one concern is about how a warranty issue would be handled, but so far so good. It’s built much sturdier than HP/Dell with over-sized cooling fans.
Oh: https://us.msi.com/
Humiliation! Trump thanks Democrats for Mueller hearings
Lol.
Tesla posts loss of $1.12 per share, vs. expected loss of 40 cents
OUCH
Maybe they just need a little more “help” from the taxman.
Down 10% in after hours trading huh.
And then the believers will go back in.
Bargain!
‘I’m Still Sharp As A Tack,’ Insists Mueller Moments Before Taking Phone Call On A Banana
https://babylonbee.com/news/i-am-still-sharp-as-a-tack-protests-mueller-moments-before-taking-phone-call-on-a-banana
I got kinda bored of the investigation and have only been casually following for the past year.
At this point I’m probably only 8 or 9 times more informed about it than Mueller.
More football/soccer. Here’s the current English League One table: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/league-one/table
The season doesn’t start for another 10 days. Which two teams might be among those relegated?
It will always be the Third Division to me…
D’oh!
Finally caught up with last weekend’s broadcast AFL matches. I wonder how much further down the ladder the Pies can slide.
Hah! This weekend is a big game as they play Richmond who are only % points behind them. But then they get Gold Coast and Melbourne which should both be wins (sorry Baked Penguin). Then Adelaide in Adelaide then Essendon. So, it doesn’t get easy at the end of the season.
A short end to the season is calling. C’mon lads, you can do it.
Haven’t been keeping track, but looking at the ladder, I’d say you’re right. And if the Blues keep playing like they have been recently, 15th place is possible. Maybe even 14th! Dare To Dream.
For the Demons, well, maybe think about what off-season moves you want to make.
Also, regarding your England Div One, I guess you’re thinking Bury and Bolton are coming into the season with a bit of a handicap. I wonder what the teams did to get that big of a smack down – that’s 4 wins just to get to 0 points.
I think they went broke.
Yeah, they both went into administration which brings an automatic points deduction. Bolton were particularly stupid since they delayed administration until the summer. If they’d done it in March or April, the 12 points would have been deducted last season when they got relegated anyway.
The Bury situation may be worse, since it’s possible they may get wound up.
Nevermind. It looks like both clubs had solvency issues.
Which I’m sure will be aided by relegation to a lesser league.
Yeah, I’m not entirely clear on the reasoning behind that punishment. It does seem awfully harsh.
Deterrence. From Wikipedia: “Before the implementation of a points deduction it was perceived that clubs had “manipulated and abused [administration] as a way of shedding debts then restructuring, and borrowing again once the hapless creditors had been fobbed off with their 8p in the pound.”
Apparently the rules were changed starting 2007-08, such that “any club entering administration after the fourth Thursday in March would have their 10-point deduction suspended until the following season.”
Why? “Leeds United filed for administration with only a few days remaining in the 2006–07 season, which automatically triggered a 10-point penalty. This placed Leeds at the bottom of the table and relegated the club, but they were extremely likely to have been relegated anyway. By entering administration during the 2006–07 season, they hoped to avoid starting the 2007–08 season on −10 points. The following week, Boston United entered administration in the final minutes of a defeat to Wrexham which ensured they were relegated to the Football Conference, meaning they likewise avoided starting the following season on -10 points”
Ha. Pretty sneaky.
I posted this on the last thread, but it was already dying. Liberty Doll on the latest NRA drama.
The only one winning from all of this is Cuomo and the gun grabbers
That’s always the problem with depending on institutions and when no concession should ever be granted. Things will constantly evolve and change but somehow everyone is supposed to agree on the same things forever…
I’ll explain more: saying that Guns rights should not be infringed puts you in a defensive and conservative position.
Forget 12 years, we only have 18 months to save the planet
I’ll miss y’all.
My greatest shame of having British ancestry is that they never hung the royal family.
Well the Puritans did chop off Charles I’s head.
I thought the modern royals were supposed to stay out of politics
They why you kill them. They never keep to the bargain.
And we’ll never be royals
It don’t run in our blood
That kind of lux just ain’t for us
We crave a different kind of buzz
The climate math is brutally clear: While the world can’t be healed within the next few years, it may be fatally wounded by negligence until 2020
Yes, the world is going to die if we don’t repent of our sins. That’s definitely the type of statement that a scientist would make, not a looney cultist preacher.
Just in time for the election. What a surprise.
Almost like global warming is an excuse for commies to destroy the economy. What a shock!
Too bad climate hooey is near the bottom of issues Americans care about.
I have a tiny amount of sympathy for Charles. It must warp your mind when your primary job in life is to wait for your mother to die.
QEII is holding out until Charles kicks the bucket.
QEII is holding out until Charles kicks the bucket.
And that’s why I love ol’ Lizzie. God Save The Queen!
And there’s been some talk of having Charles abdicate as soon as he ascends the throne so his son (William?) can become king. But that’s mostly connected to his divorce, not his politics.
Do these idiots have no sense of shame or personal dignity?
I mean the writers. 18 months? Are they retarded that much?
See you in 18 months McGrath. At which point I will deem you a fear mongering twit.
That’s not how it works.
Too ambiguous. What is that and how does it work?
They are not doomsday cultist who put a definite date on Armageddon. They are doomsday cultist who say we only have so long to act or we are fucked, it’s a bit nuanced for some here but there is a difference.
Hey, Jim Jones got the date exactly right.
Good point, the Hale Boppers got it balls on as well.
True. It is convenient that they do that though. Cause then we can tell them it’s too late anyway and please shut the fuck up about it.
So ignore me. I don’t give a shit.
You’re some piece of work if you think my comments are ‘stooping’.
You went all Politifact here.
Oh wait. You probably think the criticism of that is also hyperbole for low IQ people.
Unhinged? Tread carefully with your smug nonsense.
I see no difference in the two. It ends up on the same path to ineffective laws and policies. It’s a little trick that some of us did catch but still think it’s nonsense.
You’re nitpicking and fail to see how the distinction does lead to bad outcomes.
You don’t find them narrowing the scope from 12 years to 18 months a tad disingenuous and self-serving?
doesn’t.
And it’s still a silly idiotic thing to do to place a firm date on the time we have left to act.
Like I said a bit nuanced.
Meh. That’s giving them credit. They’re just being disingenuous.
Nuanced. Yeh. Like it’s about system change and not climate change.
Not impressed either way.
Again. In 18 months when ‘we’re fucked’ what then? This is not hyperbole but cuts straight to the matter of how they frame their narratives. To me, they should be called out.
Thing is they are eminently mockable, no need to stoop to their level and get all hyperbolic, it makes both of you look unhinged and any reasonable person (me for instance) simply ignores both of you. Want to win hearts and minds? be more reasonable than your opponents, Stossel, Friedman, don’t win arguments by adopting the strategies of their foes but by calmly making their case.
That you think these comments unhinged is bizarre.
So ignore me. I don’t give a shit.
Wow. That got all weird with the squirrels.
I’m done with this dead thread.
Thank you to those of you who have been sending me links to good books and amusing clips. It makes recuperation more bearable.
Just remember:
DO NOT CLICK HM LINKS.
You’re welcome.
Which Iron Law is that?
Prime Directive. It’s simple, important, we all acknowledge it and yet have to break it all the time for what seem like good reasons.
Which Iron Law is that?
The one that states
DO NOT CLICK HM LINKS.

Yeah, I learned that long ago
DpaceX launch to ISS scrubbed tonight due to weather.
Trying again tomorrow
Man, I love watching those launches. Even better than my childhood memories of the NASA stuff.

STEVE SMITH FORCE OF NATURE!
Is it just me, or are the replies to Trump’s tweets the biggest dumpster fire on the internet?
YouTube comments are relatively sane compared to them.
It’s not just you.
Dear Hollywood – Please Keep Destroying My Childhood
I remained convinced that the best thing about being a maroon is that I can watch movies and this kind of stuff goes right over my head, I never notice the political themes in action movies. Give me some explosions and car chases and I don’t care if the protagonist is Wokey McWokeface.
Myself I just don’t care. I’m used to disagreeing with almost everyone’s politics anyway. I let it slide.
Some people must enjoy being off put. It’s like people who see racism everywhere, exposing this stuff is more fun to them than just enjoying a stupid movie.
I’ll let it slide if the end product doesn’t suck donkey balls.
Unfortunately, that’s quite often not the case.
The ugly truth underneath is that the movies themselves aren’t that good. Which is fine, I’ll go watch old movies that I’ve seen dozens of time or ones I’ve never seen before. And there’s quite a bit of lecturing and culture/politics war in the old stuff too. Real Doctor Who was chock full of it from Third Doctor onwards.
Again, maroon here, Explosions, fight scenes, shootouts, car cases, pretty girls and I’m good. Can’t remember the last action/adventure type movie I thought sucked. Oh wait! that one with Straham? Crank maybe, where he couldn’t calm down or he’d die? that was bad but not for any wokeness, just stupid bad.
You’re not wrong. I did get a chuckle out of one episode (Android Invasion?) where aliens lamented The Doctor’s “Libertarian” streak.
Nice
I listened to some of the Mueller commentary and some of sound bites. I’m really sorry I wasn’t able to watch it with beer and popcorn. What a shit show.

“Don’t judge my looks”
Umm, isn’t that pretty much how he always looks?
Yeah, but probably meant “smells”.
Hitler reacts to Mueller’s testimony.
“Just wait for Rachel Maddow. She’ll know what to do.”
That was impressively fast in completion.
Just got through the episode of H&H guest-starring Julian Castro. Holy crap, that hurt my brain more than these metaphysics/philosophy books I’m looking at right now.

“The larger MAGA universe may still pulse with anti-Semitic animus. Pro-Trump trolls may traffic in grotesque online slurs and threats. Hate crimes against Jews seem on the rise. A deadly anti-Jewish mass killing occurred on Trump’s watch. Although the Pittsburgh killer is often described as despising Trump, that’s not quite accurate. It would be more correct to describe the Pittsburgh killer as disappointed in Trump, whom he viewed as a promising racist naively duped by Jews. In one of his postings, a word bubble is drawn over a photograph of Trump receiving a visitor dressed in Orthodox garb. “Your character will appear to the public as a white racist,” the visitor seems to say to Trump. “It’s how we control Whites.””

The Pulse shooting happened in 2016, obviously because Obama hates gays.
Obama was a disappointment to the homophobes because the gheys got to Barry. Still, the homohaters are keeping the faith.
Sure, Jan.
It’s funny because most of the anti-Semitic comments I’ve read/heard happened to come from #resistance/proggy acquaintances. And I guess /pol/ but that’s always expected of that 4chan board.

I’ve been watching these pitch meeting videos and most are pretty funny.
Yes, this one is great:

“Two men who decided to protest a vegan event in London by eating dead, raw squirrels have been found guilty of disorderly behavior.”

Live raw squirrels would have been way more impressive.
Now do PETA.
Seriously, it’s weird watching a country circle down the drain so rapidly.
“Look, there are African American men in this shot! How much did he pay them to be “blackground”?”

There is no way that is the least bit racist.
It’s cute when they do it.
Blacks only have agency when they agree with her.
It’s funny because a white nationalist might say the same thing about done leftist politician and rightly be called racist.
Meh, they look like plants to me, all in the same T-shirt, not really paying attention, all the peckerwoods are looking at/phone filming Trump, while 4 of these brothers are having a chat ones checking his emails and the dude on the far right seem to be macking on the only sister there.
So, like Obama at Nelson Mandela’s funeral.
Sure, why not.
Here I thought I was going to see a video when I clicked. Nope, just a still shot…a grainy, out of focus, still shot. You’re like Sherlock Holmes. Well done.
You’re right I missed the grainy out of focus bit, just what a white supremacist would do to hide the photo-shopping of coloreds into a Trump rally, the entire thing is fake!!
Goodness, she a vile person.
