ZARDOZ SPEAKS TO YOU, HIS CHOSEN ONES. ZARDOZ URGES HIS CHOSEN ONES TO SECURE A COPY OF THE CINEMATIC MASTERPIECE NAMED AFTER HIM….BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE! THE GREAT EVIL THAT IS “DISNEY” IS TRYING TO HIDE THE GLORY OF ZARDOZ FROM THE WORLD.
BUT EVEN WHEN FACED WITH GREAT EVIL, ZARDOZ WILL NOT FAIL TO DELIVER LINKS TO THE CHOSEN ONES. RECEIVE THEN THE GIFT OF THE LINK. GO FORTH AND COMMENT!
- YES, OF COURSE YOU DO. DO THE BRUTALS OF THE LARGE APPLE CRAVE TO BE TOLD THEY CANNOT DO THINGS?
- ZARDOZ SHOULD OFFER HIM SANCTUARY IN THE VORTEX – HE SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD RECRUIT FOR THE BRUTAL EXTERMINATORS!
- A GOOD MONTH…BUT THE CLEANSING COUNT NEEDS TO KEEP GOING UP.
ZARDOZ HAS SPOKEN.
Pardon my incursion into your links tabernacle, but this just in, https://www.cnbc.com/2019/10/25/judge-orders-release-of-mueller-material-citing-impeachment-chance.html.
Was it a Hawaiian judge?
DC
Huh, I swore it was reported that the “impeachment inquiry” dealt with Ukraine. Meh, Slavic countries are all the same really.
So the current effort will be as full of nothing as the last one.
the House is conducting an impeachment inquiry
No, it is not. It is holding ordinary committee meetings, wrapped in histrionic press conferences.
Its not an impeachment inquiry until either the full House or (which would be unprecedented) at least a committee votes on it as such.
I agree with you they are hysterical. But there is no Constitutional requirement for the to vote to open an impeachment inquiry.
If there is no vote by someone (the House or a committee), then there is no action by Congress of any kind to open an inquiry or investigation.
Impeachment gives Congress additional powers. It cannot simply be that any random Congressman can say “impeachment” in front of a camera and those powers are in play. There has to be some kind of official action, and to my knowledge there has been exactly none.
So, they get Grand Jury material for a mere HJC impeachment inquiry, before the articles of impeachment have actually been brought. FWIW, her robeship is an Obama appointee.
If I was Trump I would loudly ignore these hack judges. How many divisions do they command anyways?
No, that’s a really bad idea. You are correct, they have no divisions of their own, per se. The US Marshall Service, a subdivision of USDOJ, is tasked with enforcing judicial orders, so they are dependent upon the executive for that. But the minute you start ignoring the judiciary then everyone everywhere will also try to do that. Farewell, rule of law.
It may be an imperfect system, but it’s a system of checks and balances.
Many times this. Also, an appeal is surely coming.
Farewell, rule of law.
At some point, the courts are illegitimate and there is no rule of law. Not saying we are there yet, but I’m also not saying we are far from it.
The rule of law is dead. I’m ready to watch the world burn.
Except we’ve already kissed the rule of law goodbye here. This is an open ended fishing expedition to harm a political rival more blatant, pervasive and perverse than the Democrats claim is an abuse by Trump.
Oh, I misread the headline as implying that the material had to be released to the public.
Releasing things to congressmen is effectively making it public no? They’ll find some media person to leak it to.
Which is illegal af since the executive has classifying/declassifying authority.
They can just redact the whole thing. Give them a block of black.
The things from now on are only going to be more interesting. We now have concrete evidence that Mike Flynn was entrapped.
Each side in this power struggle is on the move.
Just wait till Flynn feels free to share how the DOJ forced him into a plea deal by threatening his son.
Each side in this power struggle is on the move.
As predicted years ago when this whole farce began, when you strike at the King, you better lay him low. They missed, the counterstrike is coming, and they are desperate now to somehow shut it down.
Flynn’s lawyer is going after the Deep Staters involved in the Russian collusion hoax. There is overlap with the Deep Staters involved in the current farce. And there’s theBarr/Durham criminal grand jury going after DOJ, FBI, and the intelligence agencies (and I am sure others *cough* Fusion GPS *cough*. Hell, Hillary’s lawyers committed crimes – destroying subpoenaed information, possessing and disclosing the contents of a server full of classified info. I am confident a full accounting would lay waste to K street and multiple federal agencies.
Reposting from the squirreled comment:
The judge dismissed arguments by Trump supporters in and outside of Congress that the House’s impeachment inquiry is illegitimate because the House has not held a formal vote to authorize such a probe.
I kinda expected this. Impeachment investigations are not formalized in the constitution, all it takes is a majority vote of the House. So what the House says goes.
Of course the Court has just sealed the fate for any unpopular President who’s party looses control of the House.
Maybe the Eternals could send some green bread to Evan, over at his hospital room in Thailand?
I saw a documentary that indicated Thai nurses take excellent care of their patients.
Documentary? Wouldn’t have happened to be hosted on PornHub, would it?
All the best documentaries are.
Bow chicka bowbow
Flight for Life is commercial. Well, we’re just going to have to socialize all medical services now.
Sorry to OT the tabernacle so soon, but, https://www.cnbc.com/2019/10/25/judge-orders-release-of-mueller-material-citing-impeachment-chance.html.
Awwww
The site is a tad rambunctious today.
Heh, I read that as “the site is a tard rambunctious today.”
Well, I try.
Oh sorry, thought you were talking about me.
Aw, I’ll give you a back rub, if you want.
Thanks, but I don’t like people touching me.

Impeachment investigations are not formalized in the constitution,
True, but there has been exactly zero, nada, bupkiss actually done by the House or any committee to launch an impeachment inquiry. Its all press conferences and leaks.
This will be appealed. At some point, the courts are going to have to wake up and realize that breaking grand jury secrecy because a Congressman wants to look at it is a bad idea, and that’s all this is.
Out of all the horrible politicians in his country, De Blasio is easily the worst.
That’s a bold statement.
Yeah I can’t get behind that. How do you even choose just one?
Yes, the feces is strong with them all.
It’s been like that for centuries.
Remember when Martin Luther nailed 95 feces to the door of the Castle Church?
Castle Church? Hmm, okay. I’ll allow it. It fits.
/Former Catholic
Thank you for allowing it.
The Schlosskirche in Wittenberg, site of the posting, translates in English to “Castle Church”.
Didn’t mean to sound snide. It just sounds funny to me in English.
Raises JB one Bloomberg
Deblasio is FAR worse than Bloomberg by every measure. He embodies everything you hate about Bloomberg and adds a hundred other even worse things.
Well, let’s see, McCain is dead, but Schmoobz and Hillary are still kicking and even though they’re barely out of commie boot camp, there is still Gulag Barbie, Omar, the other raghead wench, and pretty much every democrat candidate for president right at the moment.
RECEIVE THEN THE GIFT OF THE LINK.
Well, it’s no Gift of the Gun, but it will do. I guess I shouldn’t complain, I received a rifle earlier this week from Canada. Americans now own a higher percentage of the world’s guns.
However, he did say he believes there are some private uses of helicopters that are “appropriate.”
So kind of DiBlasio to deign to think that some private uses of helicopters are “appropriate”.
Helicopters that he owns, duuuuuuh.
Government helicopters in which he rides. Totes exempt.
We should all chip in and start Pinochet Air.
His use, I’m sure.
De Blasio: “It’s my island!”
“I’m the Duke of New York, I’m A-Number-One.”
I’m doing my part.
You’d like my IDPA group. There’s me, a woman with a SR1911, someone with a Glock, one guy with an STI, and everyone else is running a Sig of some variety. X5s and Legions (can’t tell them apart, especially when they’re holstered) seem to be the most popular.
I appreciate the sentiment, but you couldn’t lure me into NY with guns even if you were Jessica Alba.
?
*ponders*
*GIS Jessica Alba*
*ponders some more*
I’m doing my part.
God bless you.
I got my revolver speed loaders and a stack of targets in from Mr. Bezos this week. Thanks, Jeffy. Fuck a new whore this week for me, buddy.
My range membership includes one free gun rental per month. I’m choosing this one for Oct.
cool
that got that two-stage trigger dealio? I wonder if I’d get used to that in a hurry
I’ve got one. It took a few hundred rounds for me to get decent with it, but I do like it.
removing communists is one of the approved uses of an airport right?
If he won’t even allow helicopters to avoid Manhattan traffic, that doesn’t provide much hope for flying cars anytime soon.

much class so dignity
Can there be a funeral/memorial that doesn’t get turned into a political rally sometime?
Political theatre with a corpse as a prop. Classy.
Never let an opportunity go to waste.
Would you say, a propportunity?
Cummings would have wanted it that way.
Unfortunately, yes.
Political theatre with a corpse as a prop. Classy.
But enough about SCOTUS…
I think leon deserves an applause gif for that one.
I don’t recall this much brouhaha even over McCain or any other recent decedent. Did he manage to accomplish something other than repressing his part of Baltimore that I missed…?
I’m mostly a headline skimmer but I seem to recall reading more hot takes about McCain’s death/funeral than Cummings, he’s made a few headlines but McCain was all over for days on end. Hell, Aretha Franklin got more coverage if I remember correctly, bunch of pieces about who went and who was standing next to who and if Bill was looking at lady Gaga’s ass or something.

Big Peanut is behind this girl, I’m telling you. Don’t let them fool you with their shelled corporate lies.
Some people things she smooth and creamy.
*think she’s
She doesn’t look that bad in this getup.
I think she’s lovely. I just don’t get why she is doing that to her bottom.
I was curious if boobpedia had an entry on Demi Rose.
I go over to boobpedia to look her up.
Boobpedia is having trouble. The age warning page will come up, and if click that you are of age, a messed up version of their front page shows up. If you try to search someone, you get a message that the site is experiencing troubles.
First glibs loses avatars, and now boobpedia is down! What is the world coming to?
I haven’t been on for a few days, and you are right, no avatars all of a sudden!
I assume this has been discussed but I can’t imagine where to look or what day.
Any info to help a guy catch up, who’s been stuck on business travel in the Midwest all week?
I haven’t been around here for a while too. I saw some mention that SP knows about it when I read some dead threads. That’s about all I know.
SP took the avatars away because you touch yourself too much.
I’ve got bad news for you. Dogs and cats? They are living together.
Did they go tits up?
They bottomed out.
I haven’t read or commented much lately so I’m not following the impeachment thing too closely. But we have an aunt and uncle staying with us, and they like to watch the news. Wow, those reporters sure are breathless when they report on Trump. They’re like kids on Christmas morning.
I recently had some friends lament that Trump was so slippery they were just never going to pin anything on him.
Riiiiight. He is totally a match for the full investigative and prosecutorial powers of the federal government.
Yet they keep getting lumps of coal in their stockings.
Shush, you. “Embryonic diamonds.”
I don’t understand how anybody can watch that rot. CNN is on in our break room and I feel my brain start leaking out of my ear every time I’m in the room. Just because things are professionally produced doesn’t mean they should be taken seriously.
We don’t have TVs in our break rooms, and I don’t have it at home (he smugged) so I only get exposed to TV when I visit my parents. I don’t know if I’ve lost my tolerance to it, but it’s just grating. The hyper-emoting. Was it always like that, or has the opiate of the masses become more intense?
CNN is on in our break room
See if you can get it switched to ChiveTV. Its basically endless clips of fail videos and cute animal videos. They have it at a local bar, and its perfect for that kind of casual watching. Totally SFW, by the way.
Our overlords said CNN or no TV, so we said no TV. Then our overlords said that CNN was the only option.
It’s a shame the power cord to that TV was mysteriously cut.
I see you work in my office. They just replaced the TV last week, so CNN is back despite our efforts
It’s a shame the electrical outlet keeps shorting.
Get a cheap Roku and stick in the HDMI slot and you can put on whatever you want!
Vandalism of company property could get in trouble. How about putting up a sign on the TV: “Official Fake News”.
It might we worth a few laughs. Or go to HR and complain about how CNN is creating a hostile work environment for you, can’t do your job properly when fuming over the lies you hear while you are just trying to get a cup of coffee and relax for a minute.
It’s a circus where Pencil-Neck calls in deep-state friends to say bad things about Orange-Man in a secret meeting. Then he tells the media about the stuff that he thinks will make Trump look bad.
Praise be to Zardoz for another week blessedly coming to a close.
I need the weekend to be approximately 3 months long for it to matter.
Sorry to hear that you’re deep in a funk, man. I wish I had some wise words to share, but to tell the truth I kind of shut myself off to the world outside of my immediate family a while ago. That’s become my coping mechanism. I do enough work to keep my job, play with my kids, try to enjoy the odd evening with the missus (she works some nights so we don’t get too many of them)……and the rest I don’t care too much about. I guess I’m in that rut too to a certain extent.
Not soon enough — I’ve got to give a night class from 18:00 – 19:30. Blah.
Then need to sleep as fast as possible for the match tomorrow.
I’m ready for cleansing (IRFC), is my new TGIF.
Economists rush to help Sen. Elizabeth Warren solve Medicare-for-all tax puzzle
Warren has promised more details within weeks, but her team faces a challenge in crafting a plan that would bring in large amounts of revenue while not scaring off voters with big middle-class tax increases.
The proposal could cost more than $30 trillion over 10 years. Complicating matters, she has already committed all of the money she would raise from a new wealth tax, close to $3 trillion over 10 years, to several other ideas, including child care and student debt cancellation. This has limited the Warren campaign’s options for finding additional sources of revenue without affecting middle-class Americans.
Robert Pollin, a left-leaning economist at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst who has worked with the Warren and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) teams, said he believes two-thirds of the single-payer fund can be raised by redirecting existing public health-care spending from Medicare, Medicaid and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Pollin refused to discuss any details related to his conversations with Warren’s campaign.
Pollin suggests that the remaining third be raised by a $600 billion annual “gross receipts” tax on businesses, which he says would be less than the $650 billion firms currently spend on health care; a 3.75 percent sales tax on “nonnecessities” that exempts low-income households, to raise an additional $200 billion; and a 0.38 percent tax on wealth above $1 million, which he says would raise the remaining $200 billion.
Fuck off, slaver.
A sales tax that exempts some people. That should be easy to enforce.
A national Sales Tax? But i thought Tariffs were bad…?
I foresee a boom industry of poor people who will do your shopping for you.
I already use instacart.
They can do like New York, and put an extra sales tax line on the income tax return, with it being 0 if you earn under a certain threshold.
Tonio: Kids…
Kids: Yes, Uncle Tonio?
Tonio: What is it called when you run out of other people’s money?
Kids: Socialism!
Tonio: Goddamn right.
You’re doing God’s work, Tonio.
That went from Mr. Rogers to Margaret Thatcher to Walter White. It’s like I’m on a roller coaster.
Doesn’t matter, she’ll never beat Trump.
It is nevertheless pretty damn concerning that she will probably be the nominee.
I thought the debate taking place in Westerville, Ohio, birthplace of the Prohibition movement and a huge center of the Woodrow Wilson style of Progressive ideology in its day, was hilarious. Because I used to work retail near Easton Mall, and there was a certain type of customer from Westerville, that would show up very often. And Liz Warren is dead on for most of the negative traits of those customers.
Here’s a puzzle. I want to spend more money than exists in this universe.
and a 0.38 percent tax on wealth above $1 million, which he says would raise the remaining $200 billion.
I’ve yet to be presented a Legal and effective way of implementing a national wealth tax.
Can you imagine the lobbying and litigating over the definition of just one word: “wealth”? What’s included? How is it valued? A sizable chunk of GDP will be diverted just to pay legal fees.
That’s why we lawyers need to stick together and vote WARREN 2020! MAKE MAKE-WORK WORK!
That should end family farms for good.
No need for the economists, Pocahontas, I’ve got this for you. Here it is:
Raise taxes on the middle class to 60%.
Implement a VAT tax of 25% on everything.
It’s not like this has never been done before, dummy. Just ask anyone living in a EU country.
Or.. You know.. Bernie Sanders
“Medicare, Medicaid and the Department of Veterans Affairs”
Hell hath no fury like AARP and VA, when benefit reduction is even mumbled in a campaign speech. Trump would love to hear that promise made and he would ride
down Penn Avenue in Jan 2021 smiling all the way to the Oval Office smelling the McD burgers and Coke can litter.
0.38% on anything over $1M? So if you own a house in CA you’re screwed even more.
And a gross receipts tax? How many businesses will that kill?
And a gross receipts tax? How many businesses will that kill?
Everything with a low profit margin. Which means a lot of small businesses. A lot of restaurants. And a lot of businesses owned by poorer people and members of marginalized groups.
A double shot of NH double voting cases.
They are going to have to start hanging Massholes on election day.
I have been repeatedly assured that there is no voter fraud.
“There is no voter fraud, so why should we investigate something that doesn’t exist?”
Turnabout is fair play!
Hampstead, NH schools prohibit guns from school property
The school board voted unanimously Tuesday to adopt a new policy that prohibits any visitor from bringing a gun into Hampstead school buildings with the exception of an on-duty law enforcement officer.
The policy establishing a gun-free school zone became effective immediately and is the board’s latest effort aimed at creating a safe school environment.
“This isn’t in place to infringe on anyone’s Second Amendment rights. This law is in place to protect students and staff in our buildings,” said Karen Yasenka, the board’s chairman.
Well, that’ll stop any potential school shooters for sure. They wouldn’t want to be arrested for carrying a gun, would they?
Just be patient! It’s not like a gun free zone in a public school has ever even been tried before!
However, he did say he believes there are some private uses of helicopters that are “appropriate.”
Ferrying Democrats from one political fund raiser to another, for instance.
state law preempts any such
Section 159:26(I) of the New Hampshire Revised Statutes provides that no ordinance or regulation of a political subdivision may regulate the sale, purchase, ownership, use, possession, transportation, licensing, permitting, taxation, or other matter pertaining to firearms, firearms components, ammunition, or firearms supplies in the state.
goddammitt!
And in reply to one of Brooks’ unthreaded replies.
[Stands and applauds]
an epic fuckup
* curtsies *
Oh yes, I know. The state has slapped down at least one municipality for thinking they can prohibit firearms in municipal parks.
I’m certain the school district’s lawyer knows this too.
We’ll see how it shakes out.
To see what’s coming next to the People’s Republic of NYC, just replace ‘helicopters’ with ‘cars’.
California struggles to keep illegal guns and ammunition from crossing state lines
“The real crux of the problem is that California has a 608-mile border with Nevada, shared with 12 California counties, and Nevada’s gun regulations are less stringent,” Newell said. “People with sinister and nefarious intent will find a way into California with these weapons and accessories.”
Such hard work violating the rights of your citizens.
It’s Nevadiana’s fault!
They just need to wall off CA from the rest of the country. Then they can secede and live in their unspoiled proggie utopia that will occur. They can get Kurt Russel involved somehow.
Nevada horning in on Indiana’s buisness.
Build a wall!
Yes, to keep the Californians in.
“The real crux of the problem is that California has a 140-mile border with Mexico, shared with 2 California counties, and Mexico’s border enforcement is less stringent,” Newell said. “People with sinister and nefarious intent will find a way into California.”
Huh.
The calls are coming from inside your state!!
People with sinister and nefarious intent will find a way into California.
But some of them, I imagine, are good people too, right?
I think all the good people are leaving.
BTW: Fuck California and New York. Not satisfied with squashing freedom in their own lands, they are intent on destroying the freedom of other people who have decided to be freeer than California/New York/Mass/ NJ want them to be.
Like I said in an earlier article today, they should just go after Federalism, then NYC and CA can force their will on all the deplorables, like God intended.
The interwebs. Indiana guns made their own website and Nevada guns got on there and the next thing you know…
Bloods, Crips, hardest hit.
Now I’m triggered.
“Not in a Good Place! Ted Danson is arrested alongside Jane Fonda as the actress is handcuffed for the THIRD time on the steps of the Capitol during her weekly climate change protest”

OFFS!
Next time beat the piss out of them on the steps. See how committed these zealots are.
More like “FOAD,” honestly. Fonda is a slaver.
If I ever get to interview her, I’m going to ask her if she remembers the name of the NVA officer she had the best sex with.
I remember, in Michael Crichton’s State of Fear, there was a character I assumed was based on Ted Danson, a middle-aged TV star who was an annoying environmentalist.
At the end of the book, he was eaten by Solomon Islands cannibals.
Half Martin Sheen, half Ted Danson.
Ted Danson?
The devil you say.
Ed Begley, Jr. is the fun Hollywood environmentalist.
He’s wacky but at least he walks the walk, I respect that.
He’s also made fun of himself numerous times. Even on some Disney Channel kids show in which none of his environmentally-friendly inventions worked.
“At the end of the book, he was eaten by Solomon Islands cannibals.” One of the most satisfying parts of that book.
It would be really funny if some weird third strike law existed and she was put in the pokie for 10 years.
I wonder if Gumby ever enters the pokey.
Now that’s what I call horseplay
Some guys have all the luck.
Until the drugs fell out of his black plastic jack-o-lantern.
“By then, it was September of 2017—more than seven years after his saga began. The New York researchers finally confirmed that he had a rarely diagnosed condition called “auto-brewery syndrome.””

The saddest part of the story was when they cured it.

File for disability, and get a DD.
Hope he doesn’t get arrested for not going through a distributor.
Friday again. It’s time for more bear news from Russia.
.
Likewise the Germans. Look at all the shit the Russians did to them and they still did what they could to stop them from winning.
I was kind of late to the game on the DOE official who just resigned and is in favor of total student-loan forgiveness, so I’ll repost here:
It also incentivizes people to stay in college forever. Why get a job when you can just take out more and more loans which you’ll never have to pay them back? Just hang around campus and “study” until you die of old age.
Brilliant.
OU had policies in place that would kick you out after a certain number of years, because there were already people doing exactly that.
At my school we called them “gradual students”.
If the loans aren’t guaranteed, then the bank won’t have the incentive to loan to students who are in school forever.
I tried that, but it turns out that eventually the assholes hire you.
I’m gonna look really stupid if I spend the next 2 years completely paying off my 6-figure law school loans and everybody else gets some or all of theirs forgiven. Of course, I’ll have no interest in being honest and forthcoming about my finances to uncle Sam if that happens.
Of course, I’ll have no interest in being honest and forthcoming about my finances to uncle Sam if that happens
Stealing tax dollars from Uncle Sam? That’s a re-educating…
““For every dollar in increased student loan availability, colleges increased the sticker price of their tuition 65 cents.” ”
https://twitter.com/JonathanHoenig/status/1187483095278243840
I’m kinda surprised that not a single Democrat has offered to impose a tuition freeze on all colleges and universities, since fucking with price signals is their thing. But then I remembered that higher education is a huge interest group whose members vote in large part for Democrats.
The Fox/Disney movie thing is pretty frustrating. We were lucky to get a series of Marilyn Monroe flicks at the Alamo in Feb, but the programming director regularly complains about the disappearance of classic titles.
“The Fox/Disney movie thing is pretty frustrating.” Indeed. Edgar Wright tweeted to complain about it recently. It’s such a fucking stupid policy. Disney isn’t doing anything but pissing off a lot of movie lovers.
It’s “Talk to Your Kids About Vaping” week at the middle school.
Fuck right off. My kid doesn’t even know what vaping is.
That’s why they want to put the fear of it into him now. Be prepared for the wizened lad to inform you that evil vaping is even worse for you than smoking.
They’ve been talking to my six-year-old about drugs, including the marihuanas.
Look, if we don’t talk to the 3 year old kids about these things their parents wont and then they will not know what to do when their playmate offers them some crack during naptime.
Seriosly though, the first time i was offered drugs was when i was 20 years old, also it was facetious because the Guy knew i was Mormon Missionary. I know i didn’t hang out in the “lets do drug circles” as a kid, but it’s not that hard to get to maturity without being offered drugs.
Offering crack during naptime is evil; they’ll be wired for hours!
#metoo and I grew up in the “inner city”, went to public schools, etc. etc.
Of course, I paid my share & me and my new roommates got high as a kite.
Yo, Rhywun. You should seriously look for that letter, you know the one I mean. Legits historical document, yo. And rather akin to a Commission in the Continental Army.
There are a few possible locations. My apartment ain’t that big, and I do like to keep everything in its place.
D.A.R.E. to keep kids off Ritalin.
LOL
That would make a great t-shirt.
Speaking of great t-shirts… (NSFW).
I don’t know what my sister is doing, but my 6 year old niece does and she thinks it is cool.
People in my little town were complaining about a new vaping shop that was going to open. There a new ‘coming soon’ sign on the building now for a…tobacco shop, and people are happy about it. Moral panics are stupid and people are dumb.
Remember the crack epidemic? When reliable mainstream nonpartisan news was telling us that this new drug would instantly addict you with just one breath? And that your kids would be born unable to bond and grow up to be sociopaths?
That’s all they (the progressive left) know how to do.
Ban, tax, curb, suppress, stop, censor, spend, etc.
Control is all they were ever after.
“STDs are sexist, and women are the losers. Here’s why
Simply put, because “STDs are biologically and psycho-socially sexist at all levels,” said Dr. Hunter Handsfield, a professor emeritus of medicine at the University of Washington Center for AIDS and STD who has studied sexually transmitted diseases for 40 years. ”
http://archive.is/rrISn#selection-981.0-981.53
You’d think that some Democrat would at least propose a bill to ban STDs, but no….
I think the PC term is STI. Saying disease is othering to those who have them…
Two logic problems here:
1. Circular reasoning; and
2. Attributing a socio-political term to pathogens.
Anything else?
3. circular reasoning
I might be begging the question here, but i think that there is some circular reasoning going on too.
Now you’re just circling the drain.
4. Go to Step 1.
There are idiots who practice medicine?
I’ve known a couple
Absolutely there are.
Educated =/= smart.
Educated = Indoctrinated.
Count Potato, may I present Dr. Eugene Gu? Dr. Gu, Count Potato.
I’m curious as to how a germ can have either either a psychological life or a social structure.
Damn, the patriarchy is powerful enough to imbue cellular lifeforms with human characteristics!
About that Texas father trying to save his kid Luna from going full transgender. I waded into the comments at WaPo. I was utterly dejected by the sheer amount of people who railed against him. It was bloody frightening. One even called him a bigot.
Beatings. It’s all they’re gonna leave people with.
WaPo comments can easily be the most awful among the national MSM publications.
I’ll probably live long enough to see exposée on this topic twenty years from now: who knew child’s life would be ruined! Things that no one could have thought of, things no one mentioned at the time!!!
yes we did, like on 9/11, on the Patriot Act, Iraq, abusive cops, WoD . . . . lots of us said so on day one
And the left will be arguing that we need to be carving out a special welfare system for kids harmed by the racist scumbag republicans (“the parties switched”)
It’s a trifecta of three things: 1. Group think. 2. Not wanting to appear to be a Bigot. 3. General Mental and Moral stupidity.
The left has been able to weaponize this to the point that Nobody want’s to appear like a bigot, and the group tells them that anything exclusive is bigoted. They have no ability to think about ethics beyond simple things like “Don’t be a Bigot”, so what you get is a bunch of people following the left down the cliff of ever increasing insanity.
But accusations of bigotry, or the threat thereof, are what drives the whole enterprise. They do not openly resort to violence, but they have no trouble shaming, shouting down, deplatforming and ostracizing anyone who isn’t in lockstep with them. And then they construct virtual minefields of alleged triggers, special pronouns, and othering speech.
I think #2 absolutely has an impact on the moderate or average person who just doesn’t want the hassle or simply wants to avoid trouble.
The left managed to get to them. And once they go NPC, there’s no bringing them back. You can try but you’ll generally get a “You’re right but…” response.
Principles just aren’t that important as much as just avoiding problems. Simple as that.
It’s all stupid. Mom’s crazy and dad’s lying to get attention (for example, no chemical castration or hormone blockers or anything is being proposed). I hate everyone involved, including the governor for shoving his face in it.
Hey. Let’s take a moment to think about the real victim in all of this though. Meghan Markle.
I read that the mom is seeking to get him on hormone blockers.
According to the court’s order, permission from both parents would be necessary for that.
It was recently changed to that. In the initial ruling I believe she retained sole custody and decision making regarding the child’s welfare but it’s hard to tell what’s true with this story because the reporting is so emotionally charged.
The jury gave the Mom sole custody. The judge ordered joint custody.
Reason 3,476 to not have kids. One less soft spot for the state to stick a knife.
And I, for one, think that describing “hormone blockers” as “chemical castration” may be tendentious, but is not entirely misleading.
I wouldn’t even hedge it as you do. Antigonadotropic drugs stop the brain from secreting hormones that stimulate the ‘nads.
From the WaPo article:
Sure, a chemical castration of a 10-year-old boy is not a big deal. Let’s call the father a liar. And good for the governor. Help from many people is needed to stop this evil.
Give nothing but abuse!

I’m surprised that hasn’t made him more popular with Democrats.
OOOHHHHH BURRRRNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!
Well, that’s just science.
Maybe that’s why I can’t stand to hear him speak.
Politicians, particularly ones from districts with low mean educational attainment often “speak down” to their constituents, most notably the consummate politician Marion Barry.
Marion Barry was much smarter than that, he only spoke that way because the bitch set him up.
Perhaps that’s why he’s so popular
Jesus, I’ll never not hear Rick now.

Andrew Sullivan … making sense?
Best line:
Final take:
Soooo, he wilts and didn’t swallow the red pill.
I think the pill you take for wilting is blue.
I’ll vote for anyone, including Warren or Sanders or even the vacuous “Beto” to defeat Trump.
This is what TDS looks like. If you will vote for someone you believe is “a woke, moronic bigot, who believes we live in a white-supremacist country, and would happily remove tax exemptions from most traditional churches, synagogues, and mosques, because they still believe in the literal teachings of the Bible or the Koran” over Trump, then you have a serious problem.
What wrong with removing tax exemptions from churches, synagogues, and mosques?
The power to tax is the power to destroy. That said, the current system forces people to convince bureaucrats that their group is a real religion and not just a tax dodge or an excuse to do peyote.
One of the many, many problems brought on by the income tax.
Removing it from all of them might be ok. Picking and choosing which ones to remove it from is not.
Apart from increasing tax burden.on people and that’s evil, the issue at stake isn’t that the proposal is to get rid of the tax exemption for all churches. His proposal was to penalize churches that don’t accept certain liberal gospels.
RC Dean, people hate politicians who engage in shameless abuse of power, mock democracy, sexual pigs and gropers yet they put one back into power in Canada.

You know how in movies or TV shows where they want to show that the sex is bad/awkward, and they have the guy act exactly like this in order to show it?
Winner.
There are people who have never had sex and have no chance of doing so, talking about things they can’t know about. I have never once had a woman tell me that she’s like me to stop right before she has an orgasm to ask her is I still have consent. Some things are obvious, if you’re not a retard.
Oh, C’mon, that’s the perfect time to ask…..if you want a black eye.
Lol
I’d obviously deserve a kick in the nuts if I ever pulled such a dick move. The people writing shit like that already don’t have any balls, so no problem for them, outside of misery and retardation.
I would think nothing would kill the mood faster than your partner constantly asking you “Is this OK? Can I do this? What about this? Is this still OK? You haven’t changed your mind, have you? Would you mind of we do this? I hate to bother you, but . . . .”
I could make that hot.
go on…
Challenge accepted.
*makes note for next contemporary romance*
I think the real challenge will be making sex with a simpering beta cuck hot, since only a simpering beta cuck would do the “constant insecure nagging for consent” thing.

Quick computer question. I currently have 32GB of DDR3 1600 with a CAS latency of 10 but at least one of the sticks is starting to fail. Would I see a better performance increase by going with the same speed but lower latency (DDR3 1600 CAS 9) or higher speed but higher latency (DDR3 2400 CAS 11)?
DDR3 , DDR4 whatever it takes.

Thank you very much.
np! the big caveat is of course the “if your processor can handle it” part.
DDR3 means you’re on what, Haswell or earlier? maybe time to upgrade everything?
Sigh… AMD A10 6800K. I built it back in 2013 so it is likely time for an new one but I can’t afford it.
“AMD A10 6800K”
Well, there’s a clue. Get an Intel processor.
Intelist!
See, I thought his problem was that he had Deutsche Demokratische Republik memory.
Yeah, I know. I’ve been an Intel guy since I built my first PC with a 386 processor, way back when dinosaurs first walked the earth.
Ditto me and AMD. I really miss ATI and their All-In-Wonder video cards.
“I really miss ATI and their All-In-Wonder video cards.”
You’ve been out of that scene for a while, yes? No one is even pretending that an ATI GPU is even in the same league as Nvidia GPUs any longer.
Hard to evaluate just by your RAM. What’s your total specs?
AMD A10 6800K that overclocks quite nicely to 4.8 GHz
a Radeon R9 390
SSD for boot drive, SSD for storage and many terabytes of media on regular hard drives.
Well, your SSD choice is a wise one. I have 3 of them now and will never buy another mechanical drive. I’m just wondering where you can get your most bang for the buck here and I’m not sure if a memory upgrade is going to do much for you. Maybe just replace the bad chip if it’s only that one, because that’s going to be a lot cheaper than replacing 32G of RAM. The only time I’ve done that is when I have to, as in getting a new CPU and board that requires it. Right now I have an i9 10 core processor on my desk and a new board, LGA-2066 socket, and I’m only waiting to build because I have to replace all the RAM. I have to, otherwise I would never do it. I don’t think you’re going to get much of your money’s worth out of a RAM upgrade. If I were you, I’d save my money for a bigger upgrade and just replace the bad chips.
Did you check the thermometer?

Tangentially related, I ordered a BluRay of Blazing Saddles recently, because I’m certain that will get memory-holed within my lifetime.
Nah, have faith in the yutes of ‘murica, Blazing Saddles will survive, As a non-racist I have black friends, and both of them love Blazing saddles, they see it for the commentary on us peckerwoods that it was, The vocal nuts are a very slim minority and they may seem to have a choke hold on us right now I am confident that in thirty or fifity years Blazing Saddles will be just as well remembered as WC Field’s problematic jokes are today. I didnt bother trying to explain it.
Woke = moron
Yeah, I ain’t ever planning on getting woke. I’m just going to ‘wake up’ in the morning and do stuff that sane folk do.
Woke is over-rated. Gimme Ambien- so I can focus on my dreams.
I’ll be here all week.
Ambien didn’t do anything for me, it just made me more awake, seriously.
That being said, a 2mg Ativan and I’d be asleep in 5 minutes. All the good drugs have been banned.
Didn’t do a thing for me either except make me feel like a zombie in the morning.
Then. you aren’t doing it right. Wait at least two or three hours after eating. Take the ambien then have a small, light snack. Lay in the bed immediately.
It will put. you to sleep and keep. you that way two to three hours but it won’t keep you asleep all night.
You may have bizarre dreams.
DO NOT MIX WITH ALCOHOL. If you do you may enter a kind of waking dream state where you sleep walk and have no memory of it the next day.
My favorite alcohol/ambien story: Deputy friend of mine gets a call. Some guy in his tighty-whities is robbing a convenience store. When he arrives he finds the guy standing in front of the hot dog thingy….the one with the rotating rack of hot dogs under a heat lamp and the guy is chowing down on hot dogs dressed only in his underwear. The clerk complains that the guy refuses to pay. After talking to the guy for a moment he manages to make some sense of the gibberish. Apparently the guy is on ambien after a six pack of beer. The guy is very cooperative and friendly but making very little sense. So, he takes him to jail and puts him in a cell without booking or arresting him.
The next morning the guy wakes up completely bewildered. How the fuck did I get here? What happened? What the hell is going on? Deputy explains to the guy what happened the night before and the guy is initially skeptical, denies it all….until he sees the security footage. He was humiliated, paid for the hotdogs and was sent home while everyone else laughed their ass off.
Scary part of the story…the guy drove a car in that condition.
“t will put. you to sleep and keep. you that way two to three hours but it won’t keep you asleep all night.
You may have bizarre dreams.”
That’s the problem. I don’t have any issue with falling asleep for 2-3 hours. The problem is that I will wake up and then be awake for 2-3 more hours before falling asleep again.
This is actually the long time sleep pattern of humans before the industrial revolution. Look up the first and second sleep. Most people do not know about this.
I want to try the first and second sleep thing once I retire. I have the same sleep pattern issue unless I take something.
Huh. Strange stuff. Might explain why I haven’t slept more than 5 hours straight for decades.
I ALMOST get away with first and second sleep right now. If I could, I’d sleep from ~5:30 p.m. until around 8:30, work, go back to bed around 3:00 a.m. till 8:00.
But I stack (caffeine, Bronkaid) 3x a day to keep me awake and 4 Tylenol PMs to put me to sleep ~2:00 a.m.
Honestly, Moj, I don’t know why you do it. Don’t you work for yourself? If I didn’t have to be awake and at client meetings at 9am, I would never even worry about it and let my natural sleep pattern work, which is generally sleep 4 hours, awake for 4 hours, and sleep again for 4 hours. That is actually a normal sleep pattern for humans, the 8 hours of straight sleep is unnatural bullshit, just research it.
Kids. Doctor’s appointments.
I haven’t slept normally since I worked graves in college.
Ricky Gervais retweeted that one.
Great song, but I wouldn’t be so sure people like that aren’t flaming libs, the band was based out of Austin for god’s sake. There are plenty of good old boy hippie hill country musicians that would put Warren or Bernie on the throne if they had the chance. Doesn’t mean they don’t make good music tough.

lesser known history
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Z_(1944)
***
With the impending invasion of the Marianas Islands, Admiral Mineichi Koga, on March 8,[3] sponsored Operation Z, as a defense against the American attack.
…
Throughout the spring of 1944, the aircraft losses for the Japanese continued to mount which was severely endangering the success of the operation; however the death knell occurred on March 31, 1944, when Mineichi Koga and some of his staff were killed in two separate plane crashes,[1] while the remainder were captured.[4] Among those captured was Shigeru Fukudome, who was in the second plane (not Koga’s). After extricating himself from the wreckage, he was able to locate land and began to swim ashore. During this portion of his ordeal, he kept the briefcase that contained the top secret documents concerning Operation Z.[4] After spending hours in the ocean, all the while approaching the coastline, he was spotted by some Filipino fishermen. Not sure if they were friendly or rebels, Fukudome released the briefcase with the intention of allowing it to sink; however, as he was picked up, the local fishermen noticed the slowly sinking briefcase and brought it aboard. Upon reaching land, the documents were sent to the American forces for analysis.[4] A clandestine high-priority submarine pickup was arranged, with a cover story of evacuating American refugees. The submarine picked up the documents, along with 40 American men, women and children. Traveling mostly on the surface for speed, and diving only when needed, the submarine survived depth charging twice, arriving near the American naval base in Darwin, Australia on May 19. From there, the documents were flown to Brisbane.
…
The Z Plan documents were in plain text, rather than code, and were translated on an urgent basis by the top five translators at the Military Intelligence Service attached to the Allied Translator and Interpreter Section, it was first translated by Yoshikazu Yamada and George “Sankey” Yamashiro, two nisei translators.[5] Copies of the translation were rushed to General Douglas MacArthur, who quickly forwarded them to Admiral Chester Nimitz, commander-in-chief of the Pacific Fleet (and Admiral Koga’s counterpart). Among other things, planned Japanese diversionary tactics were now anticipated by the Americans, leading to the lopsided American victory in the Battle of the Philippine Sea, the largest aircraft carrier battle in history, and one of the decisive battles of the Pacific war.

Writing your war plans plaintext? That’s a paddlin’.
The Japanese defeat was just a little more lopsided than it otherwise would have been. At that point they were getting their asses kicked in just about every large scale engagement.
I see you are not familiar with the On the Roof Gang :
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/On_the_roof_gang
***
The On the Roof Gang was a school for radiomen and cryptologists who would go on to deploy on ships and to overseas bases and collect foreign signals intelligence (SIGINT) and communications intelligence (COMINT) to monitor the movements and operations, and intercept the message traffic, of foreign navies.
In 1928 the Chief of Naval Operations understood that a group of formally trained operators was needed in the Pacific Fleet to monitor Japanese naval communications. There existed a small cadre of self-taught operators in the Pacific theater, and two of them were selected to become instructors in the “On the Roof Gang.” Chief Radioman Harry Kidder and Chief Radioman Dorman Chauncey instructed the early classes.[2]
Initial graduates were sent to ground stations in the Pacific to monitor the Japanese. Later the cryptologists eventually began to serve on board ships.

You’ve heard of the Marianas Turkey Shoot? Well, the reason it was a turkey shoot was because US Navy linguists were intercepting and translating commands in real time from Japanese control aircraft.

There was a high-ranking general or admiral who said the work of the translators shortened the war by 2 years.
I have heard the same from both Germans and Japanese: If we had had any realistic idea of what America was we would have never gone to war against the US. There was never any chance of winning. Besides, we want to live there, not blow it up.
“Over 5,400 children separated from their parents at border since 2017”

Because that’s when numbers were invented?
If those numbers are correct that’s actually way lower than I thought it’d be.
So what?
How many citizen children separated from citizen felon-parents?
Many, many more.
Which led directly to policies that prevent this issue – policies the left also rejects.
The only acceptable policy is to import as many collectivist minded voters as possible.
Very late and not the right article but, Goddamn, Evan, you’re a tough sonovabitch. Much respect.
I’m guessing 5400 children have been separated from an adult who may or may not be their parent since 2017 is probably a more accurate headline.
Blarg, Brooks’ed it.
Hi Glibs!
Thought you might enjoy this footage my friend Jack took of the Tick fire here in southern CA. He lives about 5 houses up from my house. Jack was home when the fire got near our neighborhood.
My stepson called me at work, slightly panicked, as his community college evacuated, and when he got to the entrance of our subdivision, the police turned him away. We never got to our house before they announced a mandatory evacuation. We’re all in a hotel in Palmdale now (my stepson’s father’s family lives up here). Hoping to get home late tomorrow morning.

On an amusing side note, I sent this video to another good friend who’s a singer-songriter & multi-instrumentalist (and my homebrewing partner), and he commented that the 12 minutes of I to IV piano chords in the background is torture for a musician.
