“Richard Delp, 35, was arrested on charges of felony animal cruelty and possession of methamphetamine after a woman said she saw him lying down with the animal with his pants undone.
The woman said the beaver had been run over by a car but was still breathing, so she left to grab supplies to help the animal. When she returned, she found Delp with the animal and called 911. The beaver did not survive.”
The beginning and the ending of those two paragraphs go together quite eloquently.
“Richard Delp, 35, was arrested on charges of felony animal cruelty and possession of methamphetamine. The beaver did not survive.”

Yesterday, Reason’s Robby Soave, a professional contrarian, published a story built around a video, which is linked in the post, showing what was plainly visible in the initial footage—belligerent teens chanting and crowding around an old man until he was surrounded—but proposing that it added “important context that strongly contradicts the media’s narrative.” The video did add context, showing that Phillips and other demonstrators present for the Indigenous Peoples’ March were interposing themselves between between teens draped in racist, misogynist paraphernalia and members of the Black Israelite cult, but did not, despite Soave’s assertions, contradict the narratives set forth by either Phillips or “the media” (by which one can only assume he meant journalists straightforwardly describing what was there to be seen). Last night, the smirking teen, Nick Sandmann, was identified in a statement issued in his name by the publicity firm his parents hired for him, in which he suggested that he was in fact the victim in the situation.

If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.

Why would they slow down? They stand nothing to lose because they’re never held accountable by anyone. The media is a propaganda machine for them and the Pachyderms are far too polite (read: cowardly) to ever even suggest that what the Left does is mildly out of bounds.
Soyboy
on January 21, 2019 at 8:45 pm
These are ‘memes’ in the broader (more important) sense. The left can meme, brilliantly. Hammer and transmit lies incessantly to discredit and disparage opponents, overwhelming busy minds.
The left is bad at Internet memes, but so is the right. The difference is that the left has been fantastic at memes through the mass media for decades now, and there’s a generation of non-establishment conservatives, classical liberals, and libertarians who have grown up with (or accustomed themselves to) the new media by necessity as much as anything. It’s a guerilla war, in a sense. The left–and I’m not saying there’s a George Soros type with a pen and a phone (ha ha) issuing orders to underlings–has dominated conventional media for decades, so the average person who identifies with that part of the spectrum doesn’t feel a need to get the message out. It’s already being done everywhere you look. So you see a lot more grassroots people starting stuff like Internet memes because they’re outside the mainstream and don’t have access to a major cable news network, which limits them to what they do have, i.e. Internet forums, social media, etc.
This is why they deplatforming thing is so insidious. I’m not arguing that Twitter doesn’t have a right to decide who can and can’t use their service, but when everyone from a particular political or ideological bent sets out to stonewall people they disagree with such that they can’t be heard, that goes beyond free association. I don’t know what the solution is, but it’s tough to just tell someone to go and make their own platform when that also means they need to make their own payment processor and everything else.

about 2% of assessed value. About 1/2 of that goes to schools, fire dept, and ems. Given how often EMS rolls out here in Old People Land, we’re getting a great deal. The real surprise was that 2% of that 2% goes to the library. For what I’m paying, I need to use it a fuckton more.
And the crazy part is that in FL, almost every home is undervalued (tax to bank appraisal) by at least 10%. Add in a $50K homestead exemption and 2% of assessed value is about 1.5% of real value.

I’ve spent many years in Calgary with Februarys in them. It’s not Yakutsk, but there are times when it’s freakin’ close. ’Specially at 2 AM when it’s minus 30 Celsius with a 60km/hr wind out of the east and your dog insists on going outside to deal with its tenth diarrhea episode in as many hours, and she won’t just squat, do her bit and get the Hell back inside.
Ask me how I know.

My partner had been working for several years in Calgary–that’s why I’m familiar with the city. He moved South as soon as he could–abandoning the tenure without any regret. Between the two of us, I’m the one who likes Canada. Apparently, I haven’t spent enough time in Calgary in the winter.

I was in Austin for the ice storm of ‘98. I was working in a coffee shop with no customers as I listened to 10-20-30 car pileup on the 35 bridge (288? i’ve Been drinking but I could drive from Houston blind and go under that exchange) on the north side. The it was a pileup in both directions of 30+ cars. So I drove to a girl’s house, did the needful and then drove home. I lived off of Far West and MoPac. I was luckily carrying enough speed to get up the ramp, roll the light, and get just enough traction on the overpass to roll home. It’s no joke if the overpasses freeze.
Mostly too skinny and pale for my taste, but 36 was damn nice.

“A Taiwanese woman known as the “Bikini Climber” became the latest person to die while hunting for the perfect photo to post online.
Gigi Wu, known on Facebook for posting sizzling seminude pictures atop boulders, was found frozen to death after a 65-foot fall.
The mountaineer, 36, was eight days into a solo hike Saturday when she called a friend to say she’d tumbled down a ravine in central Taiwan’s Yushan Mountain and was unable to move because of a leg injury, Taiwan News reported.
Rescuers were unable to airlift her until 28 hours later because of poor weather conditions. But by then, the young woman was dead, officials said.
The overnight temperature where she fell, at an altitude of over 5,500 feet, was around freezing, said Cmdr. Lin Cheng-I of the Nantou County Fire Department.
Wu, who also went by Wu Chi-yun, was a local social-media star who posed on some of Taiwan’s highest peaks in barely-there outfits.”

I’ll take it one step further. Communists aren’t people. They share our anatomy, our DNA, but they are merely featherless bipeds missing the software that makes us human. That is, what makes a person — the very essence of personhood — is the recognition of the personshood of others. Communism by its very definition rejects this. Collectivization is the opposite of ethics. Therefore, communists are criminals. They are at least conspirators if not actors of armed robbery and murder, and if irredeemable, deserve death. People only have rights through their defense of the rights of others. By refusing this defense, by rejecting the natural rights of the individual, they forfeit their own. So they have no right to life. They view our species as an ant colony. And, like them, I can find no moral argument against killing ants.

But who’s to say that these activist assholes wouldn’t have picked his group to pick on and film and wait for thirty seconds of video to spread all over the internet, get a hundred thousand strangers attack him for racism when all he did was fucking stand there. And then me, his dad, his entire school get deranged lunatics calling, demanding we all get fired or punched in the face.
Maybe they picked on these kids because of the hats this time. Maybe next time they’ll pick some white kids wearing polo shirts who look “rich” who are there to visit the Smithsonian.

I don’t see that stopping it. Mob outrage galvanized by professional liars who control the media is nothing new. If anything, it’s better now: everyone has a camera in pocket, and social media, while contributing to mobthink, nevertheless is far less centralized and controlled than media in the past. The truth has opportunity to spread much faster (if it will at all—which was also much more in question in the past). It doesn’t necessarily take years (Duke Lacrosse), decades (McMartin preschool, Waco) or even half a century (Kitty Genovese) for the truth to come out and spread sufficiently.
“Idk how anyone can look at the empirical evidence and still be under the spell”
Being part of a mob is pleasurable. It feels great to have an army around you confirming how virtuous and morally right you are. Eric Hoffer hit the nail on the head.

Not that we’re immune, just our mob is smaller and weirder.
On Sunday, additional video showed that Phillips had walked up to the teenagers. He said he was trying to defuse a confrontation between them and another group. One of the teens, Nick Sandmann, issued a statement saying he had not sought the confrontation and bore no ill will to Phillips.
What’s that old saying about a lie making it halfway around the world while the truth is still putting its shoes on?
I think I need to watch Rashomon again. Maybe we all do.
I mean, maybe, but in this case that sounds like an abrogation of responsibility for your judgments, especially your actions made in consequence, and for correcting judgments as new evidence comes in—which should be a lesson against hotheaded hot takes, if anything. “It’s open to interpretation!” is sidestepping responsibility.

I think it’s the completely over the top *reaction* more than anything. 100% of the media were weighing in on this and for what? Even at the worst actual “news” part of it — the kid was just standing there. “disrespect” is not a reason to attempt to shame/punish/ruin someone.
It really is textbook defamation, and maybe that’s why it seems to egregious. We’re used to media using weasel words like ‘allegedly’ but for this? Hardly anyone did that. It was “these racist kids accosted this poor helpless indian war hero, shame on them, this is a reflection of TRUMPPPP” and they didn’t for thirty seconds to think about the impact their words would have on these kids, throwing them to the mob like this.

I’ve never been good at math. I forget what I’m doing . And I have simple math problem I bet most of you can do in your head. If the average song is 3 minutes, and there is a 15 second commercial between each song, how many minutes of ads would there be in an hour?
dorvinion
on January 21, 2019 at 11:57 pm
60/3.25*15/60 should equal the number of minutes of commercials
60/3.25 is how many song + commercial breaks in the hour
15/60 is how many minutes an ad is long
so the number of song + commercial * the length of an add = how many minutes of add in an hour
dorvinion
on January 22, 2019 at 12:00 am
Alternately, and without a formula, you’ll have 4.5 minutes of ads during that hour and the last song will be 1m 30 seconds into its playtime when the hour concludes

(60/3.25)*15/60 = 4.615 minutes
Assuming every song is 3 minutes, and you don’t really care that the last song and ad doesn’t actually get played fully
If completed songs, and completed ads are all that matter then 4.5 minutes of ads

3 minutes and 15 secs means 4 song/ 13 minutes. 13 minutes goes into an hour 4 times which means 4*4 commercials plus (52 is Easy 4 suits by 13 cards) plus two more complete cycles. (6.5 not 9.75 minutes) 18 commercials which means 4.5 minutes of commercials. You can average that over 2 hours. 9 minutes/2 hours.

Do or do not, there are no tryglycerides.
What you did there…..I saw that
points for trying, anyway.
um… yeah. I guess.
Nice recommended whiskeys y’all. It’s a bit tough getting them in my neck of the woods, but taking notes.
You should have some local whiskey that isn’t exported there too.
I will confess I also watched Massan which is based on a true story. Mind you it’s daytime TV aimed the female demographic.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massan
It’s based on a true story. Given the prejudices of the day both I can’t imagine what the couple faced in real life.
They unfortunately don’t distribute to Ohio. I’ve had it before, it’s a solid one. But we have starting getting Teeling on our shelves. First whiskey distillery to open in Dublin since the Jameson’s Bow St. one closed down.
We have several of the Teeling’s here but I haven’t tried them. I don’t drink a lot of Irish Whisky. My two favorites are Redbreast 12 and the Redbreast 12 CS. The cask strength is one of my top three whiskys of all time.
I visited the distillery this summer. My co-conspirator picked up the 100 euro bottle of single malt single cast 15+ year olld from the big barrel in the gift shop. It was the best whiskey I ever tasted.
We went shot for shot against the single cask to compare one blurry night.
Teelings is good, Red Breast is better. But the price point pushes me more to Teelings. Although, TBH, my weekly go to is Tullamore Dew.
I can’t drink any kind of whiskey. Rum, vodka, tequila, brandy? No problem. But not whiskey.
Allergy? Or bad experience in your youth?
I can’t see how it could be an actual allergy, so most likely the latter.
Old video surfaces of Covington Catholic students in black paint
The left is relentless. Context means nothing to them. You would think striking out making fools of themselves multiple times this weekend would have slowed them down, but no.
Black paint? At least they’re not calling it blackface like the NYDN.
“you can see a teacher or coach of #CovingtonCatholic leading the teens in a chant– several of the Covington students are in blackface.”
A chant. I’ve seen others refer to their cheer as a war cry and such. It feels like a lot of jock resentment mixed into this nonsense. Like how Cavanaugh represents that asshole fratboy that didn’t call them back.
Did you talk to Chad? Did he mention me?
You would think striking out making fools of themselves multiple times this weekend would have slowed them down, but no.
Why? Half of them know they are lying in service of narrative, and the other half are convinced being on narrative serves a higher truth than mere facts. They are Torquemada mortifying the heretics flesh for the betterment of their souls.
Looks like they’re just getting warmed up.
Do you guys ever listen to Michael Malice or read his Twitter feed?
Yes. Sometimes he’s too sarcastic, and the point is missed.
I don’t know, I love the guy. He’s been spitting hot fire on this
I’d say this is accurate.
https://twitter.com/michaelmalice/status/1087530508496658433
“You would think striking out making fools of themselves multiple times this weekend would have slowed them down, but no.”
Why would they slow down? They stand nothing to lose because they’re never held accountable by anyone. The media is a propaganda machine for them and the Pachyderms are far too polite (read: cowardly) to ever even suggest that what the Left does is mildly out of bounds.
I saw pictures people were posting on twitter that purported to show kids from the school flashing white power signs: they were basketball players making the three-finger OK sign, which anyone who’s seen a basketball game knows is how the ref signals a three point shot has been made, not to mention how this being a white power symbol was outed as a hoax from 4chan trolls.
Sad.
Welp ladies and gents… time to pay my property tax.
Here goes $4k, which $2.6k is for schools for which I have no children enrolled. My home is ~900 sq ft.
It’s gonna be a long pour on the whiskey tonight.
Er, well 1/2 that since I’m paying only the required half year.. but still.
Holy cow! Do you live in Norway, or something? That’s even higher than what I paid in Commiefornia.
4k is pretty common out here, now that almost every house is selling for 500k or better.
Prop 13 prevents the rest of the Commiefornians from turning the screws on us even harder.
It only helps if you bought a long time ago. Fresh buy, fresh assessment.
It’s definitely helping on the house I’ve owned for 10 years in CA.
Yeah, property values have shot up since then. Sell and then buy another and you’d get hosed.
We don’t have Prop 13 here, so property taxes fluctuate every year. But I’m paying the same amount for a 4,300sqft. house on an acre that I paid for a 2,500sqft. house on a .18 acre in CA.
4k for 900 ft? You either live in IL, NJ or a very expensive metro area
Don’t tell me. Just tell me the region…..
Very booming area in Columbus, OH.
In 2012 it was ~$2,300/year.
This year its ~$3,900/year,
On the good side, if/when I sell, I will see a very nice return, but I bought my home to live in and it’s become much more expensive to do so. Somewhere in here is a story about how it’s really the gov’t that forces people out of gentrifying areas, but instead I should probably just check my privilege and STFU and pay the bill, lest I hate children.
Columbus is a booming area (which would surprise most journalists who are triggered by the town’s name), but the levy in Ohio is usually average in comparison to the nation so your home must be well valued. Congrats.
Now all you guys need is a professional sports team besides the Columbus Crew
Um… Blue Jackets?
I bought for ~ $120k and expect could sell for $250-$300. I don’t have off-street parking, so there’s a ceiling on the value. Although I’m by no means an expert in the field and I could be wrong. Still plan on living here for a while, and not sure if selling or leasing or Airbnb will be the next move.
Damn. We bought our house in SF for the ridiculously low price of 500k in 2012. Yeah, I know. Our property tax is about 6800 per year with the bullshit school taxes they are allowed to vote in despite
Prop 13. We are currently trying to find out how much they will fuck us over if we add an addition on our house.
Yeah, that’s worth a mil or 1.2 now.
Yes, I think I could get 1.2 or more for it. Very tempting to do it and leave this place. I was born here and it’s the only place in the States where there is family so that is delaying ourinevitable move since I have a mess of young kids.
I pay 2/3 of 1 % of assessed value. You can look on Great Schools to find how your schools are rated. If they are on the top end you may not feel so bad, OTOH if not, you may feel like I do.
I pay under 1%. Schools are rated 9 on Great Schools.
My annual property tax: $7.6k.
about 2% of assessed value.
Here in Raincouver™ and associated environs (*cough* Pitt Meadows *cough*), our annual property assessment is around $4K CDN, but it does include water, sewer and garbage/recycling pickup, so it’s not really any different form our Calgary abode of a few years ago. (We pay a “bulk annual rate” for water, which is astonishingly stupid, ’cause it encourages overuse, but whatevs . . . ).
We bought in mid-2015 for $627K, and provincial assessment now lists it as of July 1st 2018 at $920K. Property values in the Lower Rainland™ be majorly whacked, yo.
Jesus fuck. Even in American dollars that’s a lot of money. The hardest part for me is figuring out the optimum time to sell and move to South GA and live on a plantation for what I paid for a 4BR home on a 1/4acre lot.
Actually I have five BR, but it’s the same sqft as all of the 4BR around us. Works great right now since we have 2 kids, I work from home, and my wife’s school friend broke up with her BF of a dozen years and is living with us until they finish the PTA program and get jobs. Best part of the deal is my wife used to go nuts when I travelled and now is totally fine with it. It’s like a sister-wife without any obligations.
Feminists OUTRAGED That Youtube “Red Pilled” Their Boyfriends
I don’t get Tim Pool. I thought he was just an old fashioned left-winger like Glenn Greenwald or Michael Tracey, but he just seems like a left-winger who got really disillusioned
I’m beginning to question his, “I’m center left, but…(invariably attacks the far left)” shtick he’s doing. Fine, do what you want, but you’re not left by the standards leftists themselves believe in.
I have viewed a lot of his content and this is the impression I get. I have viewed a lot of Sargon as well. And I have seen people here claim that he is some form of leftist, but I have only ever seen him shitting on leftist sjws and such.
It’s weird. Either he doesn’t understand that a redistributive state by definition will collectivize people and lead to this shit he’s criticizing, or he understands that and still calls himself a lefty. Makes no sense.
Yeah, he tries to have his cake and eat it too.
It’s a very typical phenomenon, people demonstrate more antipathy towards those that are slightly different from them than those who are completely different. Scott Alexander has one if his multi-thousand word posts on the difference between the “outgroup” and the “fargroup.”
He’s honest. That’s all I care about.
And he too has been spitting hot fire on the CovCath thing.
I’ve been following Tim Pool for a looooong time. I find him trustworthy, although I tire of his particular style (that’s on me, not him), I inevitably always end up back at his channel/page because other mostly-common-sense folks keep mentioning his takes on issues. That is respectable in my opinion.
To straffinrun’s point below, I think the “center-left” stick comes mostly from the free speech / free media perspective. Other “lefty” positions don’t are not really in the spotlight right now so don’t matter so much. However, I have not really thought this through, so feel free to shoot holes in that.
Pardon the typos/mistakes. I blame the whiskey.

It might drop below freezing for an hour or so at night about 10 days from now here in Austin, which would make the third below freezing night this fall / winter.
Just came back from Sanibel Island in South Florida, which was chilly enough that I only could wear shorts about a third of the time.
Some of y’all might want to consider moving somewhere warmer.
Lived in warm climates all my life until I moved here 15 years ago. I like the cold. I’d move to Fairbanks if I could find a job.
Yeah, I bitch about hot and cold – we get both extremes in the NE.
The heat & humidity are worse.
Agreed. Four years in south TX cured me of that desire.
In L.A., we bitch no matter what. In winter it’s freezing and in summer it’s roasting, never mind that it’s all within a 15 degree window.
The Denny’s in Fairbanks is of a lower quality than Dennys in the contiguous 48.
I actually rather enjoyed their chicken fingers.
Turtle Club, Pump House and Silver Gulch are all delicious though.
I know not of those things.
I’m just describing my 15th birthday.
We just got out of some negative teens weather, up to teens above for a few days, and then Thursday is supposed to have a high temp of -8F with +30mph winds. The weekend warms up to single digits above zero.
I hate January.
NDak cold is the worst I’ve ever experienced. Drove through part of it one January. Similar to Korean cold. Something spiritually icing about it.
It’s the wind. Wyoming’s the same way.
Except for the extra 15-30F in the positive direction.
I-80 in the winter is terrifying. Every hour or so you’ll pass a semi laying on its side. And it’s about -1000 outside with a wind chill of -2000.
^^THIS. Prairie wind in Canada during the winter (which is a lot like the Midwest U.S. in winter) feels like a cryogenic razor blade being dragged across your face and eyeballs. It’s brutal in a way that’s hard to describe, it really has to be experienced.
https://www.wunderground.com/weather/ru/yakutsk
That’s the real shit there.
Looks like a typical February day in Calgary, actually.
I’ve spent many February days in Calgary: Calgary is not Yakutsk.
*Reports Q to CIA contacts as confirmed Russian*

Your jib, sir. I like the cut of it.
Easier ways to get blown by a hot chick.
In all seriousness, I wouldn’t go within 10 feet of that chick. I don’t do crazy.
Yeah, she’ll also blow anyone who talks to her in the bar after 1am.
This face?
Seems like a genuinely sweet kid.
I don’t want to get blown by him.
That’s a brave position to take.

Am I hypocritical for wanting legal repercussions against the twitter blue checkmarks that tweeted mean things regarding this incident?

That said, the media conflated any criticism of their (and their financiers) political agitation with bullying—progressivism blurs the line, but the line is real.

Am I the only one who doesn’t give a rat’s ass about these Catholic school kids or this Indian or what the media has said about it? The whole thing seems like dog bites man to me.
It really was a complete nonstory. Death threats and calls for violence changed all that.
I think it’s the larger cultural implications, rather than the story itself. It’s just a more egregious example of what’s been building for some time now. It’s a step closer to social anarchy and mob rule.
The left is in total control here. Next week it’ll be some shiny new outrage – perhaps dialing it up another tiny notch, testing the waters. You might not give a rat’s ass but you bet yours they give a rat’s ass about you.

No mercy. No quarter. They want war, they’ll get it.
Sue the shit out of them. Commit law fare just like they do.
People in power care about it, so it’s important in that regard. Just another battle in the long culture war.
Maybe. But as I said earlier, it’s all too easy to imagine my son in their place. He was in DC last spring – not for the March for Life, just for a class trip.
The only way this stops is if they get slapped down in a big way.
Class action, public, big ticket lawsuits. Go on offense. Cede no more ground.
They’ve obliterated a line in political activism that is absolutely necessary to have. The cherry has been popped and I don’t know if the patient can have her hymen reattached.
…Dreyfus Affair, Emmett Till, Groveland Four, Lindy Chamberlain-Creighton…
The media lie and egg on outrage-mobs. It’s what they do. Idk how anyone can look at the empirical evidence and still be under the spell.
HM mentioned Richard Jewell the other day, which is a story I’d never heard about.
Is there a database of incidents like this? They fascinate me.
The irony is dripping.

Why am I not surprised that a Brazilian was responsible for that atrocity.
It’s 15 minutes long. Remind me to watch it later.
For everyone who needs a laugh

Man this Covington thing has got me more worked up than I thought it would.
Sorry if I’ve been going off the rails on it. I just find this a new level in the Kulturkampf that should not be allowed to stand.
I do hope they get sued and I hope something comes of it. It probably won’t but I can hope.
I feel the same way, and I’m still trying to figure out why,
I have it narrowed down to:
1) Violence towards kids
2) Denial of reality
and
3) Long weekend, so I’m not too busy to give a fuck.
You can forgo all social media and reject the MSM in your life, but they could still get at you, still ruin your life (or those you care about), just for the benefit of a narrative and thereby themselves.
Yes. I’ll add this to the list.
It’s an issue of proportionality.
I was pissed about the Kavanaugh thing. Gang rapes and running trains? Ridiculous. But….. the stakes were obviously much higher. Here, we’re talking about KIDS.
So…. Why now? This weekend, you have Buzzfeed shitting the bed, and the anti-semitic leader of the Women’s March calling for genocide. If that’s the motivation for this distraction…. So far over the top reaction that… I don’t even know.
I don’t let emotions come into play with this shit. Because that is exactly the same reason all the people I disagree with use.
4) Almost complete denial of something that can be easily shown to be fabriacation.
5) A rejection of what constitutes basic norms of behavior in a civilized society
Hopefully, some people have enough ego invested that it pains them to issue retractions. Not on the right. Fuck the Fox Babes and their hangers on for jumping on the bandwagon. I mean people who view themselves as legitimate journalists who get emotionally or egotistically involved in saying “I will never be this embarrassed again”. That’s the only hope for correction. Ego or reputation. Based on Dan Rather and others, I expect the “fake, but accurate” and “we had to make a call with the information we had” crews to win out.
Fox News is or soon will completely skinsuited.
Even those who you would think would be more sensible — Greg Gutfeld, S.E. Cupp, National Review, etc. — jumped on it. Although, at least, they all issued apologies/retractions.
When was the last time any of these identity politics stories did not turn out to be a hoax?
In 2019, the United States is the most pluralistic society in the history of the world. No one gives a shit if you are black, gay, etc. except leftists who are obsessed with perpetuating such social constructs.
I would never mistake S.E. Cupp for sensible.
Anyway, they work in a world where virtue signaling is of paramount importance, because not to do so is an effective endorsement of whatever terrifying Zeitgeist their peers pretend exists, and of the actions that they allege support it. They’ve accepted those rules, they’ve accepted their theatre roles as the milquetoast losers.
I’d like to get angry, but my fuses are blown. Best hope is:
1) Lava hot takes slow down just a bit
2) These kids learn an important lesson on media cynicism
3) Some people who call themselves journalists get an important check to their ego
4) A Sherman’s March to the Sea lawsuit bankrupts every last fucker who tweeted a violent comment.
I can’t rub one out until 4 happens. It won’t.
Agree. The settlement will be blanket retractions lawyered beyond recognition.
Lack of lawfare causes Playa’s blue balls. News at 11.
I get enough of that at home.
Crackballs.
Gitchyoself wunna these.
Got one years ago for a song. My gun snob friends said that it was a Taurus and therefore, junk. It’s been one of the most reliable, toughest and fun guns I own. I love wheelguns.
oops

Due to historical and safety reasons, 357 mag has the worst internal ballistics of any popular round. Someone should make a rimmed cartridge for revolvers, that uses the same bullets with half the case length, but unfortunately, I don’t see that happening. Probably because no one wants to risk a lawsuit of someone putting it in a 38 spl that can’t take the pressure.
I’ve never been good at math. I forget what I’m doing . And I have simple math problem I bet most of you can do in your head. If the average song is 3 minutes, and there is a 15 second commercial between each song, how many minutes of ads would there be in an hour?
60/3.25*15/60 should equal the number of minutes of commercials
60/3.25 is how many song + commercial breaks in the hour
15/60 is how many minutes an ad is long
so the number of song + commercial * the length of an add = how many minutes of add in an hour
Alternately, and without a formula, you’ll have 4.5 minutes of ads during that hour and the last song will be 1m 30 seconds into its playtime when the hour concludes
Ok.
So, what’s the answer, I forgot what we were doing?
4.5 minutes of ads.
(60/3.25)*15/60 = 4.615 minutes
Assuming every song is 3 minutes, and you don’t really care that the last song and ad doesn’t actually get played fully
If completed songs, and completed ads are all that matter then 4.5 minutes of ads
Who are you and why am I here?
I’m a putz with a history of complicating what probably are simple things
Does the start of the song start at the start of the hour?
Nvm, doesn’t actually matter. I’m dumb
Did you check the thermostat?
