  • Things To Come

    No, not this.

Being far less organized than SP – you may have noticed a lack of preview pieces. For this I do NOT apologize. None of us is in SP’s class. However, for listing everything here without the personal email ahead of time to the authors – I AM SORRY. So, if you see a date/time that does not work for you – at least to be around and bask in the glory of the comments/questions and adoration of your fellow Glibs. Hit the submit box and let us know, or take one for the team and strike a martyr’s pose!

    Anyhoo…

Tuesday – Q unloads random thoughts and musings at 1100.

Wednesday – Letters to the Editor, 1100, or possibly 1900 – depends on if SugarFree’s Muse inspires a Hat n’ Hair episode. His Muse is like the EVIL EDIT FAIRY on meth. I dunno how he manages.

Thursday – Creosote Achilles recounts his 16th – it has… technical advice that shall be of note/use to some here, as well as a bit of history/culture and might just have you give a wee sniffle at the end… SHUT UP! FINE, I DID. A BIT.

Friday – Looking like a SMITH double feature. ADVICE by SEA and LINKS by STEVE. Or maybe the other way around. Eh.

Saturday – Oh, ain’t we got fun. Our regular features and extra fun at 1800. I’ll just leave it at that.

I will renew our plea for your ideas, content and the like. Some of you have started posts, but not finished (you know who you are) – and those that asked about doing a post and got back the go ahead, please do!

    Glibs Staffer

You, our little community of rustlers, cut throats, murderers, bounty hunters, desperados, mugs, pugs, thugs, nitwits, halfwits, dimwits, vipers, snipers, con men, Indian agents, Mexican bandits, muggers, buggerers, bushwhackers, hornswogglers, horse thieves, bull dykes, train robbers, bank robbers, ass-kickers, shit-kickers and Methodists have been pretty supportive in our time of …upheaval. SP and OMWC fleeing the jurisdiction of…, er, moving to Arizona, and another crucial-to-our-efforts Glib lost a parent recently (please do not ask – if wanted, that Glib can discuss in due time).

So, our little playroom here has been a bit light on content (we do appreciate your offers of content, and gratefully receive submitted articles/posts) as our editing staff has been most rudely interrupted by life out in meatspace.

The Glibs that have not had the Devil fart in their faces recently are working to pick up the slack, so to say. This coming weekend and next week should see a bit more posted on these here pages.

Thank you for your kind understanding.

    Yours aye,

    The Staff of Glibertarians.com

  • Yes, the Banhammer was dropped

    As a warning to others.

This morning we undertook an action we seldom have had to do… we banned someone. FOS launched a highly bigoted and racist epithet in response to the Smollett story. That missile circled around and got him.

A reminder or two, of what we will, and will not take here at Glibertarians.com.

Whose superscription is on that sestertius?

Damnatio memoriae. His comments will be removed from our site.

  • Polar Vortex Open Post

Well, Web Dom has frozen pipes, frozen car doors, and a frozen computer.

So you get a Bonus Open Post! Don’t squander it!

  • Coming Attractions & Saturday Night Open Post

    Hey, kids.

Still here, but we are in the countdown stage now. 10 days until the movers come and load up.

Holy crap, I wish I hadn’t typed that. Now I need another cocktail…or maybe I’ll just skip right to tequila shots.

Anyway, the good news is we have finally secured a house, with the help of a family member of one of the Editorial Team. Woohoo for Glib connections!

The bad news is that this winter storm has scuppered our dinner plans with Swiss and wife. We had no ulterior motives whatsoever. Just a nice, relaxing dinner…after taking advantage of the fact that Swiss can blow everyone (except Warty) away in Feats of Strength. Nothing major. We just had a “few” 200 pound objects for him to lift and put down.

Even though my life is literally in shambles, the website will nevertheless be here to amuse and enlighten the Glibertariat.

Of course, there will be links brought to you by various Link Artists. Artists such as Banjos, Brett L, OMWC, and most likely others who were selected for the Links Pro Bowl and not the Links Super Bowl and will therefore be available.

Not Adahn makes two appearances this week, first, with his regular IFLA forecast tomorrow, and then Tuesday with more daydreaming. Spudalicious brings another meaty post tomorrow afternoon.

Monday, Fourscore writes a letter to a certain “men’s publication,” and Web Dom will probably be by with another Vegan School post.

We’ll hope for another terrific/terrifying Hat & Hair from SugarFree, and I’ll bring you a poll.

Make sure to check in on Thursday when dbleagle’s second installment on the South China Sea drops at 11 a.m. GlibTime. Also Thursday, in the evening we have a special government shutdown treat from Tonio.

Friday brings the monthly What Are We Reading post, and Saturday mexicansharpshooter will be back with another review/not a review.

Alrighty then. Pour me another drink and let’s get on with the Saturday Night Open Post!

    (Go Chiefs!)

  • Coming Attractions and Saturday Night Open Post

    Hey, there, Glibsters.

While OMWC attempts to secure housing in PHX, I’m back here attempting to pack up the current house. It’s…taking a long time. Mostly because I’m currently drinking and watching football playoffs. (Congrats, Mojeaux!)

Anyway, you don’t come here to hear about my problems.

Despite my preoccupation with the shambles of my life, there will still be great content on the site next week, thanks to your fellow Glibs!

As always, there will be links from OMWC, Banjos, Brett L, various non-humans as per usual.

Not Adahn has an IFLA forecast for us tomorrow (which I’m afraid to read, having received enough challenging news lately), and Nephilium brings us another terrific brewing post.

Monday, we’ve got Pie Ponders from PieInTheSky, and Web Dom returns with a Vegan School post, now that she’s settled in a little bit. Tuesday, Tonio submits The Glibening, Part Six for your approval— OK, he really doesn’t care what you think and neither do we—read it anyway, and CPRM has an animated treat for us.

Wednesday, we expect SugarFree to share his…unique…take on current events, and in the evening, I’ll have a poll on which you may weigh in. Thursday, dbleagle shares some very interesting, and sobering, insights on the situation in the South China Sea, and Kinnath gives us the scoop on actually making wine (which you know I’d drink right now no matter how your first efforts turn out).

On Friday, Animal continues the interesting history of the six gun, and Saturday, we are expecting a review/not a review from mexicansharpshooter, who will soon be my neighbor, poor guy.

(You know, it behooves me to mention that you, too, can write for the amusement and/or education of the Glibs community. )

And now…on to the ever-popular Saturday Night Open Post!

Have a great rest of your weekend, kids! And pour me another cocktail while you’re up.

  • Coming Attractions & Saturday Night Open Post

Hey, kids! Greetings from Moving Hell. The sealed and inventoried boxes are piling up rapidly…if we only had a home to which to move said boxes, it would decrease the stress level quite a bit.

In other news, we do have content on the site next week. We will, of course, have links from all the usual linksters, like Banjos, Brett L, and OMWC. Maybe STEVE SMITH or ZARDOZ or SEA SMITH will pop in, too.

Not Adahn brings the IFLA forecast tomorrow, as well as a fantasy post on Thursday. Nephilium continues his popular Enslaving Yeast series tomorrow afternoon.

Monday, we’ve got a tolerable piece of history writing from Raven Nation, and a cooking post in the evening, probably by yours truly since Web Dom has just finished moving and hasn’t unpacked her kitchen yet. Tuesday, trshmnstr shows you how DIY appliance repair works, and OMWC has another Jewsday. (Not that I think he’s procrastinating on moving chores, but he does seem to be spending more time writing the past couple weeks. Hmmmm.)

Wednesday we hope that SugarFree is back among the living, and I have a poll for you that brings up extremely strong feelings. Thursday, as mentioned, Not Adahn makes a mid-week appearance, and we’ll probably have something in the evening, too, but it’s…unclear… at the time of this writing what it might be.

Animal stops in Friday with Part the Fourth in his fascinating history of the six-gun series. Saturday, mexicansharpshooter is back with a review/not a review, unless he’s accompanying OMWC house hunting and they just give up and start day drinking.

Wouldn’t you like to be included among the illustrious Contributing Writers here at Glibertarians.com? It’s really not that difficult. Learn how.

No matter what you may have heard, the editorial team is really not all that scary. We never let Warty “interview” the writers. Really.

Now, get your comments, jokes, and snark ready, because it’s time for the Saturday Night Open Post! Have a good one, Glibs!
