Yes, (American) Thanksgiving is fast approaching. For the past two years, we’ve solicited Thanksgiving recipes from the community, and there have been some terrific recipes submitted.

/SP begins compulsively checking her email

Swiss often does these. But he’s pulling overtime at the cheese-drilling plant. SP often does these. But she is so bogged down with Mom, I couldn’t find it in me to make her sit in. So it’s up to me.

See, SP is the sort of organized person who has all of the week’s articles posted on a calendar. It’s easily accessible and usable through WordPress. Unless, that is, you’re something of a software tard. And by “you,” I mean “me.” So although there’s a bunch of great shit running this week, I only have a few vague recollections. I’m sure that Animal will destroy our feminist sides on Monday, and as for Ozymandias, If It’s Tuesday, It Must Be Anthrax. What with Halloween, expect an unusual (in all senses of the word) output from the love-child of Lovecraft and Bukowski, our own SugarFree. Tonio has a love letter to the Speech Police, there’s a Hyperbole crossword, CPRM will do his thing in the way only he can, and a Very Special (and sobering) contribution from dbleagle on Saturday. If I skipped something, it’s because I’m somewhat senile.

ADMIN NOTE: The old avatar plug-in is apparently not compatible with the latest WP updates, so SP has installed a new plug-in. Unfortunately, that means Glibs need to upload a new avatar image in their user profile dashboard. Sorry for the inconvenience. SP fixed the whole Gravatar deal.

Also, if you or someone you know has tried to register for the site in the last couple weeks or so, please submit another request as it may have gotten lost in all the updates to WP, themes, plug-ins, forms, etc.

Monday: Animal continues his Profiles in Toxic Masculinity series and Tonio draws us a Portrait of a Grifter.

Tuesday: Pie tours us around Bucharest (he’ll make you yokels sophisticated Europeans yet,) Hyperbole has a crossword for us and Ozymandias presents Chapter 9 of his on-going series.

Wednesday: I terrorize the collective will with a new Hat and Hair, but the night slot is a new cartoon by CPRM.

Thursday: Baked Penquin gives us another glimpse into the mind of Secret Nazi President and Chafed has the night slot with the provocatively titled What to Expect When You Are Expecting Death.

Friday: The noon slot is just sitting there open right now, slutty and inviting. Slatternly, even. And the second half of the Tonio doubleheader, with Chapter 10 of The Glibening takes over the night.

Saturday and Sunday are smooth and blank for now, two luscious eggs of possibility…

Huh, seems the usual previewers all had lives or something today, so I’ll tell you what’s upcoming this week and then you can go about a Sunday Night Open Post!

Monday: Animal’s autobiography continues; Yusef has a dispatch.

Tuesday: Tonio stops by; The Hyperbole has a crossword for us; Ozymandias continues his excellent series on the DOD Anthrax Vaccine.

Wednesday:  Hat & Hair, should SugarFree bless us; Winston’s Mom has something to say in the evening.

Thursday: Secret Nazi President, courtesy BakedPenguin; Mojeaux has an evening rant; Don Escapes Texas with some more NCAA snark late night.

Friday: Raphael shares a travelogue and some insights from his experience being back Stateside; a cryptid (or more than one) stops by with advice/links, maybe both, Friday evening.

Saturday: MexicanSharpshooter drinks something on your behalf and Spud brings evening links.

Sunday: Not Adahn foretells the week.

Along the way, we’re sure to have links from Sloopy, Brett L, OMWC, and perhaps others as needed.

Alright so for those of you that decided today was not a day to watch football…I am not included in this. I’ll be quick.

Thursday:  Now it gets murky.  I can guarantee morning and afternoon links.  You might get an SNP, or something.  You know Kindsbury.  If you didn’t play this “secret offense” bullshit and actually ran a few reps during preseason…your quarterback might not be sacked by his own right tackle?  Just throwing that out there. So SNP…I don’t control that.

Friday:  Even murkier.  You’ll get links.  You’ll get ZARDOZ, STEVE SMITH, or Winston’s Mom or something. Dangit!  Wide open!?  This is DETROIT,  you are getting owned by DETROIT.
